    Over a span of just 45 days, two shootings at Denver East High School have left parents, students, and faculty in the Denver Public Schools angry and on-edge. With two administrators shot and hospitalized by a troubled student who was subject to daily searches before entering the school, Dan wonders aloud why Student Resource Officers (SROs) were run out by the school board in the first place. Denver mayoral candidate Andy Rougeot vows to bring SROs back into schools, and Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas says his officers are at the ready to help - if asked to return.

    In an unprecedented show of religious bigotry by the editorial board of a major American newspaper, the Denver Post calls on the Colorado High School Activities Association to prohibit participation by parochial schools because of their policy regarding transgender students. Dan fires back by saying the publication is asking these schools to go against their religious teachings and deeply held beliefs.
