    Flávia Maoli was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 23. However, she did not give up hope. Instead, she learned from her cancer experience and fought back with far more courage and optimism the second time Hodgkin's Lymphoma struck her. In fact, using her outstanding interpersonal abilities, she founded Instituto Camaleao to serve society and inspire them through her cancer journey.

Their mission is uniting communities throughout a tri-county area of northeast Pennsylvania.

    Meet donor extraordinaire Jeramy Davies.  He’s not only a bone marrow expert, but he is a two-time donor, having donated both bone marrow and a kidney to the same person.  This in itself is unique to have donated twice, but so is his story.  Jeramy and his recipient Kelly have not only crushed her Hodgkin's Lymphoma together, but they have created a lifetime bond through the process.

    For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. They can get a bone marrow transplant and be cured of their disease.  Over the past 30 years Be the Match operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, has managed the most diverse marrow registry in the world. They work every day to save lives through transplant.

    Check out this incredible story of two strangers brought together by chance, who share much more with one another than kidneys and bone marrow.

    Parampreet Singh was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 20 years while in his third year of college. His initial symptoms were a painless swelling on the neck, fatigue, coughing and night sweats. He underwent twelve chemotherapy sessions and fifteen cycles of radiation therapy as a part of the treatment. Parampreet says, " Stage 4 is not the end of cancer. The internet gives a lot of negativity regarding stage four cancer. Therefore it is important to provide necessary awareness, so people become more and more educated."

    Maria Marroquin is a two times cancer survivor. Initially, She started having itchiness all over her body. At first, she thought it was an allergy. She started taking treatment for the same. One of the doctors even asked her to consult a psychologist. She then began having bruises all over her body, and finally, the doctors diagnosed it as Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She underwent chemotherapy, but the chemo drug was not working well. So she started with another drug. In April 2020, she did a PET scan, and Maria was cleared of Cancer. One day she had a fall, and her knee got hurt. She could not walk anymore, and during further tests, a large tumour was diagnosed in her Spine. This time, she also underwent 15 cycles of radiation therapy and a Bone Marrow transplant. It was tough for her to think about losing her hair. But, her boyfriend and family were very supportive. Her boyfriend, currently her husband, even shaved his hair off. After radiotherapy, she started again with chemotherapy. She started walking again. There were financial troubles for the treatment. Her friends helped her, but it was not enough. Finally, with all the support from her family and friends, she emerged victoriously.

    Mahesh Mohan is a Hodgkins Lymphoma Survivor. Five years back, he had a spinal injury. After the surgery, his lymph nodes showed enlargements. On further tests, it was diagnosed as Hodgkins Lymphoma. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy as a part of the treatment. After surgery, he was paralysed for a year. He was very blessed to have supportive family and friends around him. He also went for a 24 hours straight car journey trip during his recovery, for which he received the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.

    Kylie Mae Randall is a 23-year-old Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer Survivor from Zimbabwe. She moved from Zimbabwe to Portugal two years back. Soon she started noticing a lump in her throat. They said nothing to worry about as she consulted a government hospital and gave her Paracetamol. Paracetamol could not provide relief; she consulted another hospital where she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma after a biopsy. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy as a part of the treatment. Losing hair was her main concern as she valued her hair so much. She even went into depression. But her supportive family and boyfriend helped her to come out of it. She likes to dance and go sailing.

    Flavia was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma in March 2021. Her symptoms started in January. She suffered from fever for two months. She realized the appearance of lumps in her neck. Bone marrow biopsy detected lymphoma. She went through 6 cycles of chemotherapy. Flavia says that painting and exercising helped her a lot to stay happy throughout her journey. Cancer helped her see the world from a different perspective. Her message to other caregivers and survivors is not to give up and try to respect the process. "It was hard, but I did it".

    Talaya Dendy was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer in April 2011. Her treatment consisted of 6 months of chemotherapy and a month of radiation therapy. Although Talaya had great oncologists, She noticed a lack of emotional support in her journey. She started an organization known as "On The Other Side". She provides emotional support, different concepts about mindset, and communication support to other cancer survivors to get help during their cancer journey. She does meditation, massage therapy and studies bodily connections. She has also made a healing scripture book for herself and read that every day during her journey. Her message to other caregivers and survivors is "Not to be hard on yourself and take one day at a time."

    Jeremie Estegassy is a Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma Survivor. He finished his last treatment in 2019, and now he is on his road to remission. Three years ago, he started losing his energy without any cause. But the rapid weight loss is what alarmed Jeremie, along with a nodule in the neck. Once he went to see the doctor, he immediately asked him to get admitted and did further tests. Once, Cancer was diagnosed, he underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy as a part of the treatment. He started focusing more on his diet by avoiding more sugary and fast foods. He is grateful that he had a supportive family and friends throughout the cancer journey.

    Suchanki Gupta is a Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer Survivor. In the Year 2021, she started losing her energy. She was a dancer, and she used to meditate a lot as well. So the loss of power was a little doubtful. She also started having fevers and night sweats on and off. She had unintentional weight loss as well. She has been prescribed some antibiotics, but there was no change in her situation. Firstly they diagnosed Tuberculosis, but due to the determination of some nodules in the lungs, they sent her for Biopsy and Cancer was detected. She underwent Surgery and Chemotherapy as a part of the treatment. Suchanki Says Cancer is not a death sentence. Cancer is a blessing that is given to those who can overcome it. Be strong and talk about it
