I Lost $45K and It Changed My Life Forever! I Learned How To Be An Entrepreneur And Start A Business

I Lost $45K and It Changed My Life Forever! I Learned How To Be An Entrepreneur And Start A Business

On a quest to escape the rat race and quit my job after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad I started looking for ways to generate cashflow.

Little did I know what I actually needed was to skill stack and to find high income skills.

But you live and you learn right? I was after passive income at the time, which led me into Amazon Automation.

    Yeah. I know.

I never got an ROI from that but I also never gave up on Ecommerce. I hired teams for Walmart, Facebook dropshipping and eventually Amazon.

Funny enough, I now offer an Amazon automation service to a small group of private clients. We keep it small to make sure the fulfillment is on point and the start up fee is tiny compared to what I paid.

But the real lesson of the story is that you should bet on yourself. Always! I learned a ton getting started in lead generation and made my ROI on my $5K investment in myself very quickly.

You can make money online. I can show you how to make money online but when you're just starting you need to stack skills...high income skills.

Things like dropshipping, trading, video editing, sales or lead generation.

If you need help, please reach out. I'd love to help you if I can especially if you're a family man. I have a heart for dads who want to escape the rat race.

    Overcoming a Six-Figure Setback | The Learn-trepreneur

    Overcoming a Six-Figure Setback | The Learn-trepreneur

FAILURE IS AN OPTION!  Ryan DeMent of Truvest Capital talks about failing 2X in small business but.. DID HE?. From the ashes of debt, Ryan has risen above, persevered, and never gave up. Ryan talks about finising and his story can help YOU!

Let's get into these GOLD NUGGETS:

    1. You can never fail as an entrepreneur, you just learn. If you find yourself having one of these "learning experiences", it's a good idea to reach out for help, and even enlist a mentor. Need resources? Check out score.org and make it happen!
    2. Passion is profit, if you do what you love, money follows! After two failed entrepreneurship attempts, Ryan kept following his passion to help people and has turned his learning experiences into a profitable career.
    3. Rebuilding your financials! After a six-figure debt setback, you have to do some damage control which may include returning to corporate, completely changing your line of work, or boosting the 'ole credit score. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither are successful people!

Sometimes the economy is out of our control, sometimes it's a business plan gone wrong but no matter what you'll always learn from it. Go find that passion and SCALE up the mountain top of success!

When Life Hands You Lawsuits, Make Lemonade(or a New Product)

Welcome back to The Small Business Safari! Chris and Alan are joined once again by father-son duo Ken and KJ Cornwall of ProVent Systems. This week Ken and KJ share some of the GOLD NUGGETS that helped shaped their business, plus:

    1.  Ken and KJ are Customer Experience masters, they run their business with the intent to sell the customer something that will make their life better or easier.

    2. Unfortunately, life handed Ken and KJ quite a few lawsuits in regard to a faulty product that caused water damage. Now they didn't make lemonade but they did make a whole new product line and pulled themselves right out of that great big rut.

    3. Loving what you do and the customers you do it for makes customer service that much easier.  Ken and KJ find themselves staring at piping in stadiums while at football games, if that's not loving your job, we don't know what is!

Kick back with us and enjoy!

The Patented Plumber and Son | Meet the Cornwalls: A Father and Son Success Story

The Patented Plumber and Son | Meet the Cornwalls: A Father and Son Success Story

Happy Tuesday folks! Today's episode is very special because today Chris and Alan are sitting down with not one, but TWO guests! Meet father and son, Ken and KJ Cornwall who own and operate ProVent Systems in Lawrenceville, GA.  Ken and KJ take the guys through the story of how  Ken traversed through the plumbing business world and landed himself 50+ plumbing product patents and a company that sells them. Grab a seat(and maybe even paper to take notes)  and listen as the guys get into:
    1.  Using leverage and negotiation tactics to get a deal or get out of a bad partnership, especially when you really believe in your product, like Ken!
    2.  Some of the huge projects that they have accomplished include the Marriott Marquis, The Ritz Carlton, and Disney
    3. The product that started it all! Ken and KJ share the story of the first patented plumbing product Ken developed, which was PVC plastic that replaced a hole in the floor and allowed workers to prefabricate piping runs by serving as a socket.

What Can Brand Do for You?

What Can Brand Do for You?

It's the BIG FIVE-OH! That's right, this is the 50th episode of The Small Business Safari! Andy Suggs is BACK and still brimming with GOLD NUGGETS. This time, The Man with the Brand is sharing some branding insider tips that you don't want to miss. Kick back and listen up as the guys get into:

    1. Andy walks the guys through an actual branding project/ campaign strategy that he and his team executed for Aaron's Rent. They even got Mr. T involved in branding their "double A-Team", and the "double-A" became a repeated feature of their brand recognition. I pity the fool who doesn't build brand recognition like Andy does!

    2. When you pay  someone for their work, you're not just paying for that 30 minute slot, you're paying for the learning, training and experience that came prior.

    3.  In branding, color can be used to send subconscious memories and provoke certain feelings (think red fast-food logos, hungry anyone?)

Training Your Money to Work for You

Training Your Money to Work for You

Welcome to another rich episode of The Small Business Safari. Today, Alan and Chris are joined by Zach Levy! Zach's impressive background shows how you can start in one place and end up somewhere completely different. He attended Georgia State University and then transferred to Kennesaw State University where he continued his education with a plan in mind to work in the health and fitness field. After working on the corporate side of fitness, he found out it was a shark-filled sales industry. From there, he moved onto Waffle House management, and was moving up the ranks rapidly where he learned the small business economy and how to effectively run a team or small business. This opportunity allowed him to see a need for overall financial literacy and that the space was filled with misinformation and was often predatory. His purposeful mission was to help others with their financial needs. Five years later, he and his wife have built and own a national financial service business called Primerica, where he gets to enjoy helping others, especially in personal development. Like a CIA agent, Zach must maintain some secrecy about the specifics of what he does and how he operates, but don't fret, he'll be back soon to fill in those blanks. However, he can share the importance of paying yourself first, consistency within your business plan, and the benefits of working with others.  Zach's hobbies include Fitness and Bodybuilding competitively, which he enjoys doing alongside his wife Meghan. Sit back and enjoy because you're going to laugh and learn something from Zach today!

Naturally, he began building an audience and acquired a couple of epic clients. Through his passion for helping people improve their lives and his determination to make daily content without seeing a profit, he built a business. A huge topic we discuss today is how to build a business through consistency, adding value, and authenticity, and how to do it by using social media. A primary point of discussion today is how important it is to higher people to help you grow your brand and how to choose the right person to hire. We also discuss if affiliate marketing is a good route to take to grow your business and how to use email marketing and social media to maximize growth and sales. Jordan is an expert at SEO marketing for websites and YouTube and has loads of essential takeaways to provide.

In today’s episode we specifically discuss:

    • How can social media be used to build brands
    • How do you introduce your brand on social media
    • How do you find good people to hire
    • How do I hire the right person for the job
    • What is SEO marketing
    • What is SEO is simple terms
    • What is email marketing and example

These questions are answered by Jordan who has been working with Gary Vee for years and who has built his own social following to well over 1 Million across his platforms. I learned so much in today’s episode and hope you all can walk away from it with a greater breadth of knowledge and practical understanding.
