60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday: If Coca Cola = Happiness, What Human Emotion Does Your Product or Service Evoke?

Hello to you listening in Alhama de Granada, Spain!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Recently my friend and colleague branding maven Simon Ratcliffe of Brand With Simon wrote an interesting post about the branding strategy behind Coke, the beverage.

According to Simon the branding minds at Coca Cola chose to position their product around the fundamental human emotion of Happiness. You might disagree with a company that’s pushing sugar, caffeine and empty calories under the guise of Happiness, but that’s what they are doing. Successfully.

Simon says: Position your brand around one fundamental human emotion and see what you come up with

Here’s what I came up with: When my clients work with me they experience the deeply felt human emotion of ACCOMPLISHMENT. Every single one of them.

Question: What singular human emotion does your product or service evoke as a result of your branding? And, if you are not clear I suggest you give Simon a ring-up. Contact information is right here in the Episode Notes.
