2023 Southwest Believers’ Convention: Believe With Your Heart, Confess With Your Mouth (2:30 p.m. CT)

At the 2023 Southwest Believers’ Convention Keith Moore shares how everything in the Kingdom works by this principle: believe with your heart and confess with your mouth. It is how you were born again. Religion will make you a beggar. If you’re begging, you’re not believing that God has already done it!

    Imitate God - Ephesians 5:1-3

    Imitate God - Ephesians 5:1-3

If we acknowledge that we should be good people, then we acknowledge that there is a standard by which we judge what is good.  If a standard of good exists then it must come from an objective source which we call God.  With this truth in mind it only makes sense that we must imitate the source of what is good if we aspire to be good people.  How do we do this? How can we properly imitate God?

    Becoming What We Behold

    Becoming What We Behold

Why do Christians need heroes? In this episode, Pastors Philip and Eric unpack the recent message from Philippians 2:19-30. Whether we like it or not, we’re all imitating someone. The influence of those around us rubs off, and we become like that which we follow. So, if we are to embody Christlikeness and walk closer with the Lord, we need to surround ourselves with people worth imitating and avoid those influences that lead us astray.

Things You Don't Do As An Imitator of God - Admonition 295

Things You Don't Do As An Imitator of God - Admonition 295

Ephesians 5:1-5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

    Transcript:
And now, Admonition, brought to you by the Collierville Church of Christ.

When you consider how to imitate God because Paul says in Ephesians, chapter five, verse one to be imitators of God as dear children.

When you consider how to imitate God, here are some things you don't do. You do not commit fornication. Verse three. You do not allow covetousness and unclean this in your life. You do not do those things which are not fitting for a Christian to do.

Are you living as an imitator of God today?

    Ep 921 – Sanctification - 1 John 3:2-3

    Ep 921 – Sanctification - 1 John 3:2-3

“I can’t wait until…” You fill in the blank. What kinds of things do you eagerly anticipate? A new season of your favorite TV show, the opening of a new blockbuster movie, the birth of a child? When I was a child, I couldn’t wait until Christmas. I looked forward to it all year long, and the closer it got to December 25, the more excited I became. And, interestingly enough, the apostle John expressed that same kind of eager anticipation when speaking of our future glorification when we receive our redeemed, sin-free bodies. And he wasn’t alone in his thinly veiled enthusiasm for this future event. The apostle Paul also expressed his determination to press on or focus all his attention on that future day when he would win the prize of the upward call of God. Paul longed for his resurrection. And his deep desire for it impacted the way he lived his life as he waited for its arrival. One of the things that will impact our current sanctification is to remember that it will culminate with our future glorification. God will complete what He starts. Paul and John knew it and believed it. Do we?
