    KEY TAKEAWAYS:

    ·         Self-sabotage is a common pattern among ESTPs with Imposter Syndrome, as they struggle with their own perceived inadequacy. Procrastination becomes a familiar companion for ESTPs with Imposter Syndrome. They may put off important tasks or projects, fearing that they won't meet their own high standards or that they will ultimately fail.

    ·         ESTPs are typically high-energy individuals who thrive in dynamic environments. However, the relentless pursuit of success and the constant self-doubt that accompanies Imposter Syndrome can push them to the brink of exhaustion. They may find themselves in a perpetual cycle of overworking, always striving to prove their worth and competence.

    ·         ESTPs' impulsiveness may result in sporadic or unpredictable performance. They might excel in some situations while underperforming in others. This inconsistency can lead to doubts about their own competence and contribute to Imposter Syndrome. They may feel like imposters when they experience setbacks or struggle to meet expectations.

Erin Clements Episode 7 – They Meant Well

Erin Clements Episode 7 – They Meant Well

Erin Clements continues her life-evaluated testimony by sharing statements that sometimes trigger emotions that dominate our current thinking. Comments that are meant to encourage others can be processed negatively. We do not know why we think and feel the way we do until we assess our life and statements that impact our thinking. Too often, we make impulsive statements with negative connotations that stay with the person we speak to for a long time. Through coaching and counseling, we can overcome low confidence and self-images resulting from these statements.

E155: Slow Down! Lowering Impulsivity and Sensory Overload with the Power of the Pause

When was the last time you said something you wish you hadn’t?

Your impulsive tendencies affect you in more ways than simply putting your foot in your mouth…again.

Even when it may seem impossible, you can build in the practice of slowing down. Why does this matter for busy ADHD brains? Let’s discuss why you crave peace in your turbo-speed brain and how it helps both you and your family when you sloooooooow down.

When your brain goes non-stop, how do you create calm in chaos? We’ll dive deep into this discussion at our ADHD Moms retreat in October. You deserve a weekend to rest, focus on you, and learn how you best slow down to take care of yourself (and not snap at your kids every day.) #21 Abandon Anger

    #21 Abandon Anger

When anger is out of control, it’s time to slow down, because anger can cause a domino effect of resentment, bitterness, substance use, not to mention broken relationships. If we want to experience love, joy and peace in our life, learning to practice patience will develop in us the fruit we need to live the ‘abundant life’.

“Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires”. James 1:20

    S-2-#20 Long To Listen

    S-2-#20 Long To Listen

Getting to ‘know’ our spiritual Father starts with listening before we speak. Becoming a new creation in Christ is a journey of becoming like a child learning to trust, respect and honor God. It all begins with seeking to ‘understand’ and becoming a good listener getting to ‘know’ your father’s voice.

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry”.

    Sacrificial Love

    Sacrificial Love
Joseph's brothers continue to prove their loyalty & devotion to Benjamin. They do all they can to keep their promise to their father proving their love & unselfishness towards him. Judah presents himself before Joseph as Benjamin's substitute. This reminds us of Jesus who is our substitutionary sacrifice. We also are asked to give our lives to Him in return and love others with a sacrificial love.

What is the Brain & Body Connection Behind Eating Disorders?

What is the Brain & Body Connection Behind Eating Disorders?

With the unrealistic standards of beauty we are bombarded with in society, it’s no wonder so many people suffer from eating disorders. But could it be that many of the causes of eating disorders are based more in biology than sociology? In the second part of “Love Your Brain “ series, Dr. Daniel Amen and Tana Amen describe conditions in the brain and body that may lead to eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia.

The Ups & Downs of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) & The Effects on Others - Part 3

The Ups & Downs of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) & The Effects on Others - Part 3
People who suffer from borderline personality disorder, otherwise known as BPD, are destabilized in their emotions. A common defense mechanism they use is "splitting" where they may overvalue a person and then devalue them at a later time. The effects on others is devastating because you never really know where they or you stand. People who suffer from this disorder have a fear of abandonment and suffer from chronic feelings of emptiness. They may latch on in relationships and never let go even when their significant other no longer wants to be attached. Acting out is not uncommon when they perceive real and or imagined abandonment. Cutting, substance-abuse and threats of suicide are some of the signs of their acting out behavior. People who suffer from BPD need help to stabilize emotionally and eventually get into attachments that are secure. We Shrunk The Tune, “Who Are You?”, By The Who

    Borderline Mothers - Part 1

    Borderline Mothers - Part 1
People wonder what the difference is between Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). The key difference is that BPD's are centered around avoiding abandonment, whereas NPD's are centered around making sure that they are constantly the center of attention. Children of BPD's do not get consistent emotional parenting. The attachment style is typically ambivalent anxious. The children of BPD's serve to make sure that the mother is never abandoned. Rather than the focus being on regulating the children's feelings, it is the children that have the terrible burden of regulating mother's feelings. A few of the characteristics of BPD: Unstable Relationships, Black and White Thinking, Fear of Abandonment, Impulsive and self-Destructive Behavior, Distorted Self Image, and Problems Regulating Emotions and Thoughts.
