Kim Smith IFBB pro: Self proclaimed 5% crazy
Thanks for listening to another episode of the Women’s Maximum Fitness Podcast! Happy international women’s day! In this episode #40 IFBB pro Kim Smith shares her fitness journey from child athlete to earning her IFBB pro card in both Figure and Women’s physique at the 2019 North Americans! What an amazing representative of women in bodybuilding and women in general!
I truly loved this episode as the passion Kim has for training and representing strong women is a repetitive theme throughout this interview. She share a ton about how her training evolved from pump sets and super setting everything to hard heavy purposeful training. She shares extensively what bodybuilding means to her as a woman living her daily life, and how grateful she is to be a part of the female community in the sport and on social media. This is a common theme and it makes me happy to know most women are embracing the positives of this sport and social media to elevate themselves and each other.
The devil is in the details with Kim (her day job is a data technician) and she thrives on the numbers in bodybuilding from macros in nutrition, to progressive overload in training! At least twice she jokes about being 5% crazy, but that’s likely what makes her elite!
Kim Smith proves to be a sweet, passionate, badass, precise, and driven by results. This interview will motivate you to work a little harder, and be a little better, whatever your goals are!
