The Power of Easter - Audio
Sunday, April 9, 2023 – Easter Sunday – Christ has Risen! What a day to celebrate above all others. If you are a born-again, Bible-believing, disciple of Christ, this is the hallmark high holiday and foundational truth of your hope and promise. Without the POWER OF EASTER, we have no hope! That’s what we’re talking about today – “The Power of Easter.” Why did Jesus have to die, and why is Easter or Resurrection Day so powerful? Very simply, because if Jesus wouldn’t have died, then HE couldn’t have been resurrected. And if He wasn’t resurrected, then HE wouldn’t have been able to defeat the power of death, and thus, we wouldn’t be able to either. But glory to God, Jesus completed the mission. He went to the cross to pay the penalty of sin, taking the Wrath of God that we deserved, paid the debt that we couldn’t pay, died a death He didn’t deserve, and then gloriously rose from the dead and defeated death. The Power of Easter is not ultimately in the cross but in an empty tomb. Come worship and study God’s Word…
