    Is Your Heavenly Account Bankrupt?

    Is Your Heavenly Account Bankrupt?

If you could, face to face, ask Jesus  a question what that question be?  In this podcast we talk about the encounter between a  man who gets to do that very thing.  And you know what his question was,  "What must I do to inherit eternal life?"  This exchange and Jesus' answer are so important all three of the synoptic Gospel writers included it in their narratives of His life. What is really interesting is Jesus doesn't answer the man's question and instead teaches all of those listening about the Kingdom of Heaven and its treasures.

    Bagels and the Gospel

    Bagels and the Gospel
Join us as Rabbi Barry Rubin gives a wide-ranging interview on the books he has written, practical ways to engage Jewish friends with the gospel, the Messianic movement, and more! Rabbi Rubin is the author of several books, including "You Bring the Bagels I’ll Bring the Gospel." He is also president and publisher of the largest Messianic Jewish publishing and distributing organization in the world and is the Rabbi of Emmanuel Messianic Jewish Congregation in Clarksville, Maryland.

    Our Only Promise - Audio

    Our Only Promise - Audio
Deuteronomy 27:26 says, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do,” what? “EVERYTHING written in the Book of the Law!” How many things? Everything. There is no pick and choose! If the Law says: “Keep me to be counted righteous,” and you say, “Okay, I’ll pick and choose. It says not to eat pork, I won’t eat pork. It says keep the Sabbath, I’ll go to church on Sunday and convince myself that’s what it means to keep the Sabbath. It says practice these festivals, I’ll keep these festivals. Oh. It says go to Jerusalem. I can’t afford the air fare. And it says go to the Temple. There is no more Temple in operation today. Well, we’ll skip those and God will understand.” Okay but who’s the decider on what laws I should keep, and which laws I should not keep? And what do we do with scary passages like Deuteronomy 27:26 which says if I don’t keep all the Laws I’m cursed? Because are we not saying that we need to keep the Law to be saved?

    Our Only Heritage - Audio

    Our Only Heritage - Audio
A group that likes to think that the church at large has it wrong, and they’re the ones returning to some lost, hidden, suppressed center and root of faith are the Judiazers that Paul is dealing with in Galatians. And they are flat out wrong. Paul’s point in our text today, is that what they’re arguing for, that somehow, to be a better Christian one must be Jewish, because that’s what the Bible says, implies, or flat out teaches, is in fact wrong. Paul’s point, is that our heritage of salvation by faith has been around since the proverbial day one. That’s our heritage.

    Our Only Gospel - Audio

    Our Only Gospel - Audio
Paul’s not worried about his reputation, He’s worried about the truth remaining in his hearers! Because the Gospel is not about Paul, it’s not about what you know, and “Wow, let me sit at your feet,” no the Gospel is simple, and it shouldn’t be changed, altered, added to, spruced up, and or watered-down! Paul’s got nothing to lose in the matter!

The Freedom to Discipline - Audio

The Freedom to Discipline - Audio
Paul is having his plans changed in Ephesus. He says, “No, I need to get to Jerusalem this time,” it’s not because he’s thinking he’s saved by the Law. That’s not at all his thinking. He’s taking the personal exercise of discipline, the vow, the understanding he has with God in this season serious. He told God, “I’m going to do this vow in this season of my life. I’m going to make it to Jerusalem as a way of saying thanks for your faithfulness!”

Gidon talks about his long journey from from Queens NY, to Hebron, and the stunning discovery he made along the way: that there were Christians who loved and supported Israel and the Jewish people. Should Believers Attend Synagogue?

    Should Believers Attend Synagogue?
During our Jewish Voice webcast on May 25, 2010, one viewer posed a question that many Christian Believers who are interested in the Jewish roots of their faith might ask at some point during their spiritual walk with Jesus (Yeshua). Though not trying to discourage a deeper understanding of Judaism, Messianic Rabbi Jack Zimmerman and Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Bernis do offer several words of caution. http://www.jewishvoice.org
