We just returned from a short mission trip to Nicaragua with Chair The Love #ChairTheLove delivering 260 wheelchairs to people who desperately needed a wheelchair for basic mobility.  Video of a similar trip we took to Mexico in October ( Delivering Hope To People In Mexico )

We conducted 9+ deliveries in 4 days. Several locations took place in the recipients' homes and allowed for intimate conversation and connection.

Listen as we learn about Ron's upbringing and life events and how God wired him to dive into ministry and serve in the Kingdom.

Hear about the Upper Room Presents and his new project, a LOVE SONG Documentary. 

Ron Strand along with his wife, Kathy started the Upper Room in 2009. Ron is no stranger to ministry. From 1977 to 1981 he served as the college & career pastor at Calvary Chapel of Whittier.  In 1986 the Strand’s started Calico Building Services, which has over 500 employees in multiple states.  From 1990 to 1999 Ron served as the worship leader at a church in the City of Orange, California.  In 2012 Ron  started, and continues to lead a monthly men’s group . He has served on the board of directors of several faith-based, non-profit organizations. 

Ron began a weekly livestream show on 2020, now called “REAL TALK with Ron Strand”, which airs weekly on the Upper Room Presents media platform.  

In March 2022, Ron & Kathy celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. They have 3 adult daughters, and two son’s-in law. The Strands make their home in Laguna Niguel, California.  

We had to put a sit-rep show together about the corrupt and unconstitutional FBI and their raid on Donald Trump's Florida home, MarA Lago. We have a bit of a different take on what I've seen going on all day in the "news" and other shows. It might make you mad but it's something that had to be said.

There are three types of work that you can do as a born again child of the Most High God. I cover the three types in this episode. Plus, I discuss how you know that you will produce and work within the Kingdom of God. This is a very practical application of “Kingdom work” because the work will be produced naturally through your relationship with Holy Spirit.

Our Church has been deeply involved with Heart for Home Haiti, which has now come under the umbrella of Lifeline Christian Mission (LCM).  Our friend Rick Scruggs from LCM gives us an update on the nation of Haiti, the house being built in Port Salut to further the mission, and his most recent trip to help with the building program (along with all the dangers and unforeseen struggles that pop up when doing mission work).

The deeper message, however is an encouragement to finish the work.  Whether it's missions, community, salvation, or whatever... God isn't finished with us yet.  Keep overcoming struggles, and keep your eyes on Him.

And watch out for small wooden bridges in Haiti!

In this episode, we have the privilege of talking with Shelley and Wayne, a couple who started a business called Dignify that works with women in Bangladesh who were previously physically and sexually exploited. They tell us about their struggles and how their time at Regent helped them shape their business practices. Listen in as Claire reconnects with her old Regent buds. Enjoy.
