Dan Dominguez - Find Out People’s WHY to Sell Authentically

Dan Dominguez - Find Out People’s WHY to Sell Authentically

Welcome to the Selling from the Heart podcast with Darrell Amy and Larry Levine as they chat with Dan Dominguez, the Chief Growth Officer at the WHY Institute. Selling from the heart is all about being authentic to your prospects and clients.

Dan shares his thoughts on the indicators that show you are successful in selling from the heart. Conversations that flow naturally are the start of great relationships, and even if you are not a good fit today, that relationship keeps you top of your mind for future opportunities.

Dan’s favorite thing to ask is what gets you excited today? This works externally with clients but also internally with your sales team. Knowing a person's WHY OS provides insight into what is important to them, their strengths, and how you can most effectively work with them to reach common goals.

    HIGHLIGHT QUOTES

Aim to start a relationship, not close a sale - Dan: "When we're having a great sales conversation with either a prospect or a current client, that conversation just flows and at the end when you get to the part as Mark Hunter likes to say when you get to start the relationship, not close the sale when you get to the start of the relationship, it's almost like, hey, how do we get started?"

Each team member has different strengths that leaders need to figure out - Dan: "You've got a sales leader and he's got all different kinds of people on his or her team, and they've got to figure out okay, what are their strengths? And you talk to each of them differently. So you're going to talk to Larry differently than you're going to talk to Darrell."

Episode 143 - THE GREAT CONVERSATION: Navigate the Why of Your Business with Ron Worman Part 1

Episode 143 - THE GREAT CONVERSATION: Navigate the Why of Your Business with Ron Worman Part 1

Leaders must know the WHY behind the businesses that they run. In this episode, Mark speaks with Ron Worman, Founder of The Sage Group and Managing Director of The Great Conversation. He shares how he started The Great Conversation meeting with servant leaders and his mission to help others figure out their why.

Mark and Ron discuss the current work environment, from the worrisome inflation we are experiencing to the apparent refusal of younger generations to work. In his quest to understand the reasons for this, Ron boils it back down to knowing your priorities to define your worldview.

Tune in as Ron talks about finding one’s core values and how ideas matter here on The Fearless Mindset Podcast.

    GOLDEN NUGGETS

Bringing people together for The Great Conversation - Ron: "The great conversation became, how can I bring the whole industry together? Whether you are a consultant, an integrator, a manufacturer, CSO, and their team, how can I bring the whole industry together to really say, how do we raise our game so that this industry becomes incredibly valuable to its customers, which is the CEO and their team to its customers, no matter who you were in that industry."

A seat at the table is an opportunity to share ideas that matter - Ron: "It's nice to get a title. It's nice to get a seat at the table, but it still doesn't mean your ideas matter unless you choose to integrate them into the others around you who are trying to sort through the same dilemma as you, and that is how to build a powerful company, a valuable company. And so, stop trying to get a seat at the table and try to get your ideas accepted before, and then it's a fait accompli because if your ideas are accepted, sooner or later you'll be more recognized."

Flipping America 548, Know Your "Why Nots"

Flipping America 548, Know Your "Why Nots"
A lot of talk, several books, and valuable minutes of nearly every self-help seminar conducted in the past 10 years have been devoted to the topic of “Knowing Your Why.” It’s a trend for a good reason. It’s important to know your Why and it’s important to get beyond trivial things like “money” and “the stuff you buy with money.” I value and salute the idea of “knowing your Why.” But today I’m going to balance that with not a competing, but complementary idea. “Know Your Why Not.”

    The 5 Whys of Success

    The 5 Whys of Success

We all want to be successful, but it's not always clear how to achieve this goal.

Most people never even come close to achieving their full potential because they don't have a process for determining what they really want in life and then taking action steps to get there.

The five why's of success will help you determine the root of what really drives your desire. Once you know what's holding you back, it becomes much easier to take the necessary steps to overcome these challenges. This episode of the Thinking Big Podcast will teach you everything you need to know about how to get clarity on what will drive you to success!

In this episode, we're going to talk about your five whys, and do an exercise I do with all my clients called “the five why of your five whys”. This is one of the most important exercises you can do to make sure you reach that next level. This exercise will help you build that burning desire needed to succeed at whatever it is that you're doing. These five questions are:

What do I want to have?
What do I want to do?
What do I want to give?
What do I want to be?
And where do I want to go?

This process is designed to determine the ultimate driving force to accomplish anything in life.

It will teach you how to find your motivation and stay on track when times get tough. You won't want to miss out on this valuable information!

    • Become more conscious of why you're doing what you're doing and how it benefits your desire
    • Learn the importance of knowing your Why
    • Find out how to stay motivated in life no matter what comes your way

Hi, I'm Sean Osborn. I'm a mindset strategist and coach who specializes in getting people to the next level. I achieved these successes and many more in my life by studying and applying the timeless truths that have been passed down for centuries. As science and technology have advanced, they've removed the mystery from why these techniques work and helped me develop the Thinking Big Framework, providing a clear road map to supercharging success for anyone who uses them. Nowadays you will find me coaching, conducting masterminds and workshops, looking for the next great place to do a triathlon vacation, and playing with my granddaughter — all while teaching everything I know about mindset, and growth through his Thinking Big Podcast.

    This is WHY- Daryl Toney

    This is WHY- Daryl Toney

My purpose on this earth is to leave a room brighter than I found it. I will inspire people to be happy and hopeful in the person they are capable of becoming. My ultimate goal in this is to not reach the world but just one person. I will show people, although we are different, greatness is within us all.”

Someone most recently asked me how to live like God is with you. In order to do this, you need a why.

You need a why when things get tough. Why do you press on when there is a virus and people are dying?

Why are you not worried about losing your job?

    Why do you have hope?

-There are issues of this life that bring challenges. Those challenges can knock you down.

-The reason they present challenges is because of the fallen state of humanity since sin entered the world.

-There is no such thing a perfect world because of sin. Sickness, violence, famine, death, disagreements, all entered the world as part of the curse for sin.

-Tough times are going to come. We are in them now.

-But as Christians we can have hope because of Jesus. This is the Gospel.

Gospel- Good news. This is our hope. This is our why.

-God had a plan to restore the world and bring hope.

    -That plan is Jesus.

    -Acts 10:34-48.

1.The gospel prevails over the issues of culture.  (Acts 10:34-35)

-The circumstance was that the Jews wanted to kill Paul because they thought he brought gentiles into the temple area. Gentiles were non-Jewish.  (Acts 21:27-22:22)

-In Acts 10 Peter is talking to the gentiles when he says acts 10:44-48

Gentiles- ANYONE not of Jewish race.

There was a group of Jews that were Christians and there was a group that was not. The group that was not Christian would not except the fact that salvation was for everyone. Cultural issue.

-The great commission. Jesus Last command to his disciples. Matthew 28:18-19. All nations! Cultural issue.

Background for gospel. (2 Timothy 2:8-9) God’s word is not chained.

    -The gospel always prevails

The gospel prevails over the issues of government. (Acts 10:28)

Felix was the governor. (Acts 24:22-24)

-Agripa was the king. Acts 26:19-32

-Peter and John told to stop preaching Jesus’s name but prevail (Acts 4:18-20)

The gospel prevails over the issues of time. (Acts 10:42-43)

-The first account of the gospel of Jesus being preached after his death is recorded in Acts 2 when Peter stands up and addresses the crowd after Jesus’s death. This happened around the year 30 A.D……..its 2021 and this gospel is still being preached.  Issue of time.

-Isiah mentioned what Jesus would do 600 years before it happened. (Isaiah 53:12)

-Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

-The gospel prevails over issues of sickness. (Acts 10:38)

-Matthew 8:17, The prophet Isaiah said, he took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.

-The gospel prevails over the issues of sin. (Acts 10:43)

    1 Peter 2:24

-Know your why is the gospel because the gospel prevails over all the issues of life.

-The journey of how Ellas was created
-How to eliminate self-doubt and build confidence
-The importance of having a 'why'

Ellas shares the journey of talented, inspiring, and empowering Latinas who are living their professional dreams and making a path for the next generation. In each episode, Brenda converses with Latinas who faced many obstacles in their path and have overcome them. The purpose of Ellas is to bring forth the strong voices of these Latinas. Their stories encourage our current and younger generation to continue the pursuit of their professional and personal goals. And most importantly to remind us that we are not alone.
