Arresting Corrupt Officers First Day As US Marshal

Arresting Corrupt Officers First Day As US Marshal

Arresting Corrupt Officers First Day As US Marshal. Plus, Anti terrorism mission overseas to Middle East. One of them was killed on 9-11. Arresting two Law Enforcement Officers on my first day as the US Marshal marked the beginning of an extraordinary Federal career. This journey led me to undertake anti-terrorism missions overseas in the Middle East, where one of my colleagues fell victim to the 9/11 terror attacks. Astonishingly, the echoes of those tragic events persist, with some of the same issues and radical hate still prevailing.

In his riveting memoir, "Jersey Lawman: A Life On the Right Side of Crime," author James Plousis recounts over four decades of involvement in captivating cases and issues within the realm of law enforcement. From encounters with notable figures like Donald J. Trump, Bernie Madoff, and Chris Christie to pivotal moments such as 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and Little Nicky Scarfo, Plousis shares a life dedicated to serving justice. Arresting Corrupt Officers First Day As US Marshal.

TV personality John Walsh hails the book as the story of "a remarkable career in law enforcement." The narrative unfolds in clear, straightforward prose, offering insights into Plousis' roles as a sheriff, cop, and federal agent. Actor Brian Dennehy, who has portrayed various law enforcement roles, commends the real-life account of a sheriff and U.S. marshal in New Jersey, describing Plousis as a man dedicated to making communities safer.

"Jersey Lawman" received recognition from the Public Safety Writers Association, earning the second-best non-fiction book award in 2020. This accolade not only acknowledges the gripping narrative but also supports a noble cause. The book's proceeds contribute to the U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund, a charitable organization providing assistance to the surviving family members of those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Plousis, whose journey began as a police officer in Ocean City, NJ, went on to become the youngest elected county sheriff in America. His innovative approaches to law enforcement during five terms as sheriff garnered national recognition. Appointed as U.S. marshal by President George W. Bush in 2002, Plousis played a crucial role in implementing the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Safe Surrender program in the Garden State and worked on high-profile cases domestically and abroad. Following seven years as chairman of the New Jersey Parole Board, he now chairs the Casino Control Commission in Atlantic City.

"Jersey Lawman" not only unveils professional achievements but also shares personal endeavors, including a humanitarian mission to earthquake-ravaged Haiti. The collaboration between Plousis and freelance writer George Ingram ensures that the book's proceeds contribute to a worthy cause—supporting the families of fallen U.S. marshals. Arresting Corrupt Officers First Day As US Marshal.

The Public Safety Writers Association, founded in 1997, recognizes the significance of this memoir, welcoming both experienced and new writers in the field of public safety. The association's mission aligns with the generous contribution made by "Jersey Lawman" to the U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund.

300 - Bass Reeves on Acid: Trippin’ in the Wild West

300 - Bass Reeves on Acid: Trippin’ in the Wild West

LSD is a powerful, mind-bending drug. Only a crazy person would try and tell a coherent and compelling two-hour-plus historical narrative while frying their brain on the equivalent of four hits of acid. And well... I am that crazy person. Today, to celebrate the 300th episode of Timesuck, I try and pull this story off immediately after dropping two double-hits of LSD. And things get.... weird. Also, what an amazing story! Bass Reeves' name and story are finally getting more exposure and it's about damn time! There's a good reason some people think Bass is the real-life inspiration for the Lone Ranger. This guy was a borderline superhero. Quick on the draw, fearless, and possession a relentless sense of justice, if you were and outlaw and Bass had ahold of your warrant.... you were as good as caught. Or as good as dead. The man was like a Wild West Boba Fett. He was the best at one of the hardest jobs in the Wild West  - a Deputy Marshal tracking down wanted men - and the occasional wanted woman - in Indian Territory, an especially lawless land that sat where present day Oklahoma now stands. Adventure awaits in today's yip, yip, yaw episode of Timesuck.

Race Hustlers Part III - Officer Seagal: Arrested Development

Race Hustlers Part III - Officer Seagal: Arrested Development

It’s our last episode about Steven Seagal, and honestly, we’re thrilled to be finally done with it! We don’t want to hear to another of his albums or watch one of his movies. It’s been three episodes on him when it was supposed to be one! Why? Well isn’t it clear? Tune in, because in this episode we listen to the exquisite lyrics from his second album and look back on his straight-to-DVD movies. Of course, Seagal is an equal opportunity cultural appropriator and we’ll see him as a Deputy Sheriff, Russian comrade, and Buddhist God.

    TIMESTAMPS

(04:11) - It's the 2000s, and Seagal is having a bit of a midlife crisis. Why is that? Could it be that his movies are stuck to one narrative? The racist jokes? Police brutality? Hmmm…

(07:56) - Urban Justice, a 2007 straight-to-DVD movie and Lightning Bolt an “Asian experience energy drink.” Imagine! Seagal packed across Asia in search of the drink ingredients!

(13:04) - “She that pretty,” “talk to my ass,” “an alligator ass,” “the preacher stole my Cadillac” and some other exquisite lyrics that can be found on Steven Seagal’s second album: Mojo Priest.

(16:25) - The name is Steven Seagal, that’s right, Steven Seagal Deputy Sheriff. He’s a cop! He.is.a.cop.

(25:01) - “You gotta push the bullet to the target,” Rob from McDojoLife is back to talk about his favorite Steven Seagal bullshit teaching moment in The Lawman.

(32:11) - The Buddhist God - Hazel had the chance to reach out to some folks who worked on The Lawman and ask how was their experience with Seagal.

(38:55) - The Lawman was a success with 3.4 million viewers, the most ever for a premiere episode of any series on A&E up until that point. People fucking loved it. So, what went wrong?

(41:48) - Lawman’s resurrection on the cable network Reelz and working with “the worst Sheriff in America.”

(51:51) - “Zen master Steven Seagal to become the brand ambassador for Bitcoin to Jetmaster Zen mess” - Seagal promoting Bitcoin B2G and settling charges with the SEC.

(54:40) - Steven Seagal, Governor of Siberia - Having Russian citizenship and the unfair U.S. propaganda about Russia.
