In this heartfelt episode we explore the Disney/Pixar movie, Inside Out. The primary focus of the episode is on the character, Bing Bong, as we use him as a lens to explore what it feels like to be left behind when other people outgrow you. 

We are in the final 2 chapters of the Book of Revelation. In this episode, we delve into something most people have questions about at some point in their lives and that is, “What will heaven be like?” Now that Jesus and His Church’s enemies have been destroyed and cast into the lake of fire for eternal, unending punishment, and the heavens and earth as we now know them have been deconstructed, John gets a vision of what’s next for Christians – a new heaven and new earth.

Who doesn’t love a happy ending in a book? It’s always easy to write fiction that ends on an “up” note, but, sadly, for many, their very non-fiction stories have not ended so happily. But, for anyone who belongs to Christ, whatever your earthly story has been or is, it is not the end. The Lord God Almighty has, Himself, written the end of your story, and it is about as happy as it gets! For those who are not believers, though, and for the Beast, the False Prophet, and Satan, things are going to be as bad as they can possibly be. In this episode, we take a zoomed in look at the Battle of Armageddon to see just how the end of the earth as we know it, and the end of Satan, evil, sin, and death, is all gonna go down!

As we’ve seen so far, Satan (the dragon), not only uses deception (a/k/a the False Prophet), to wage war against Christ’s Church, he also uses violent persecution by the state (a/k/a the beast). These ‘beastly’ world governments empowered by Satan not only do evil against God’s people, they also assume rights that only God has. We can't read chapters 17 & 18 of the book of Revelation and not see the relevance of it to today.  For us, this has manifested itself in things like giving others the right to unjustly take life at will, such as the legalizing of abortion , or in the form of the government stepping in to meet all the needs of the people they rule over, resulting in its citizens looking to the government for help and sustenance rather than to God. And don't we see an almost spiritual element in the hatred political parties have for each other? Tune in to this important episode as we unpack, The Mother of All Prostitutes!

We are already on part 9 of our 12-part series on the Book of Revelation; and things are about to get taken to a whole new level! God is about to say, “Enough is enough!” In this episode, we look at chapters 15 & 16 which include the seven bowl judgements or plagues and the most famous passage in the entire Bible - the Battle of Armageddon. Only 36% of Americans believe the Bible is real, yet 59% of Americans believe the events in the book of Revelation will come to pass. And at the top of that list of beliefs in events that will come to pass is the battle of Armageddon. So what is this final, famous, sometime infamous battle set off by the 6th bowl judgment? In the last episode we saw a picture of the ‘unholy trinity’ – Satan, the beast, and the second beast who is the false prophet – and their plan to gain victory by requiring earth’s people to be marked with their ‘unholy tattoo’ symbolizing bowing down to them (like confessing Caesar as Lord or joining the trade guilds) People in the seven churches would’ve needed this type of thing in order to earn a living, and not get in trouble. And we can see how easily that could happen today. 

In this episode, we delve into chapters 14  of Revelation, and  see that Jesus gives believers reason to have hope – reasons that might be shocking to some, especially to those who have Jesus pictured in their minds holding a lamb and having shampoo model hair.

We are continuing in our series, Deciphering Revelation, and things are really getting intense! If you listened to the last episode, you know we left off at the end of chapter 11 with flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and heavy hail!

 In this episode, we look at chapters 12 & 13, which contain the woman and the dragon, Satan being thrown down to earth, and the first and second beasts. Things are definitely no less extreme! 

 “Release the Kracken” is defined in the Urban Dictionary as, “To own or kick the butt of whomever you are releasing the Kracken on.” Okay, they use a different word other than butt, but you get the idea. 

So who is kicking whose butt? Who is this woman, and who is this dragon who wants to devour her and her offspring? How about these two beasts? Are they future monsters who are coming to terrorize the earth? Will God's people be spared? Tune in and find out these answers and so much more!
