“The difference between customer service and sales is we have to ask for business. That is the difference for us. We don't just have the business walking in our door that we're serving. We actually have to go find that client to serve.” — Renee Comey [0:01:20]

“I still go on stage, and I still get nervous. I'm still a little bit fearful of [whether] I am going to mess up. All these things go through my head, but I still do it. The reason I still do it is because my longer-term desires, my life aspirations, my big whys, are bigger than any fear.” — Scott Comey [0:05:21]

“It is okay to take a minute and it shows respect that you listened to the question.” — Renee Comey [0:09:00]

How to Stop the Stress of Hardships and Grow!

How to Stop the Stress of Hardships and Grow!

    Topics on Breaking Toxic Cycles

    • How can hardships and trauma impact us
    • How can we overcome limiting beliefs
    • Understanding if we really want to change
    • What is fear
    • 3 part breath process and practice
    • Mentoring moments with Stephanie

    Moving Forward From Hardships

Before we talk about what's discussed in this episode, we need to self-reflect. Are we ready to change? Do we want to change? We need to be honest with ourselves about what we're willing to do in order to know what we can do moving forward and break away from our toxic cycles.

    Key Points to Enjoying Life

One of the key points discussed in the episode that hinders us is our limiting beliefs.

The first step is to realize that we have limiting beliefs. It could be as simple as saying you don't have time to work on this or don't have the skills for this opportunity. This type of mentality immediately stops you from achieving your goals and hinders your growth!

Changing our mindset can be difficult, so let's take it one step at a time. We can change it by speaking to ourselves, which can help us be more resourceful. When we become resourceful, we will see opportunities we didn't realize were there before!

So, when you say you don't have time for something—state what you are putting your time to right now or throughout your schedule. Before you know it, you will notice that you do have time to work on things that will challenge you. A little tip, obstacles will seem big and large, but when you become resourceful and break them down, these hurdles will ensure that you will learn and grow!

Silencing Your Inner Critic with Megan Zaharas

Silencing Your Inner Critic with Megan Zaharas

One of the most toxic relationships in our lives is the relationship with our inner critic.  Instead of being our own biggest champion, we allow our inner critic to bully us into believing the negative and live our lives from a place of irrational fear.

Megan Zaharas joins me to talk about how this inner critic can create limitations in our life.

As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and coaching certificates in lifestyle medicine and diabetes prevention, Megan's passion is to promote overall well-being and teach tiny steps for big impact.

In this interview, Megan addresses the following tools to use when addressing the inner critic:

    • The 4 Agreements (based on Don Miguel Ruiz's best selling book)
      • Speak with integrity
      • Don't take anything personally
      • Don't make assumptions
      • Do your best
    • Walk Through the 3 Doors
      • Is this true and how do I know it to be true?
      • Is it kind?
      • Is it necessary or helpful?
    • Give your inner critic a personality
      • What does your inner critic look like?  Sound like? Need?
    • Plus learn how to distinguish between the loud negative critic and the calm and quiet knowing that is your intuition trying to guide you.

We are Glad you are Here,

Today we want to talk about why we create the Athletic Kaizen Show and what's our Objective with each episode, How We can Help you get Your Kaizen Action of the day => So in that way you can for sure win the day every day, and focus on who you become on the process rather than focus on the outcome.

*As we started developing the Mindset curriculum we found out along the way how little resources overall for training the Softball team was available, what its even more crazy was the almost non existing  resources on the mindset for softball players => in which the game its famously quoted to be about 90% mentally and 10%physically, => Especially on College Softball teams were its normal to have back to back games and not so much rest in between them...

    *Many Questions arise like :

=> Why if the team dominate on the fist game they would lose the momentum and lose the second game?

=> Why if the Team Lost the first game they comeback and win the Second game?

=> Why would the team being playing good and suddenly everyone start making mistakes and lose the game?

=> Why its so hard to let go of the last game and focus on winning the current game?

All this questions and more were the beginning for this amazing journey in the Quest to make an impact for the better on College Female Athlete players ..... During the Journey as we keep digging deeper with each weekly meeting we discovered many Limited beliefs, Negative thinking, injuries mindset, lower self confidence , Comparison trap, Low energy levels and many more barriers without anyone helping them to navigate and overcome this normal challenges for the better->> Our Mission its to guide , Impact, and transform our athletes life so they can become their best version from the inside out => We know that a strong mind will make a strong person and a strong person => make a better athlete.

**As we keep asking ourselves if the prior challenges were exclusive for softball players only .....through research talking with other females team coaches we found out its not exclusive for softball only as matter of fact the same situation were happening with females basketball players, Volleyball, Soccer , and many other sports as early as middle school, with big amplified on high school and then affecting the performance on the first 2 years of college, and beyond and perhaps not able to fully develop their maximum potential => that's why The Athletic Kaizen Show focus more on the female Athlete overall.
