    Night Of The Zombie Flies

    Night Of The Zombie Flies

Prepare to be horrified, delighted, spooked and awed by the tales in this week’s episode of SkeleTales. Britt and Alissa once again toy with chaos in yet another unthemed episode where anything goes.

If you have wondered what Alissa and Britt look like they start the episode discussing doppelgänger and perfect strangers' bang-on assessment of their looks. No need for photographs, the ladies' visages will be engrained into your mind’s eye through the power of spoken word and mildly insulting celebrity comparisons.

Then, dear listeners, you will be transported to the year 1996 when Valerie and a friend play hooky from school to fraternize in a park. Your hosts have determined that the radio was 99% likely to have been playing the Grateful Dead when something truly bizarre happened to the tardy teens. But, that is the only portion of the story that they can be certain of because it seems that the protagonists of the tale may have also played hooky from time-space.

Britt anchors us back in the present day as she relays the happenings of her hip friend Esther’s spooky stay at an AirBnb just outside Austin, Texas. Multiple sightings of an uninvited creature transform a somber family gathering into a bonafide fright fest.

Alissa manages to lighten the mood and shed the heebie jeebies of Esther’s eerie encounter with a few tales of individuals who looked death in the eye but were rescued from his icy clutch thanks to the intervention of what can only be described as guardian angels.

Seemingly determined to negate the warm-hearted vibe of Alissa’s stories, Britt caps off the episode by sharing the truly horrifying experience that Lisa, of Cult of Dolls and Make Shop Social fame, endured in her family home. Lisa’s tale of zombie flies is possibly the most disturbing account of true life horror that has ever been relayed in the history of SkeleTales.

Please contact Britt if you are unable to sleep or kill a fly after listening to this episode. And, as always, thank you for listening and haunt ya later.

    Tales From Alissaquah

    Tales From Alissaquah

This week’s tales of the strange will transport you, dear listener, to the lush Eden of Alissa’s hometown of Issaquah, Washington. Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Issaquah and the surrounding wilds are teeming with life... and tales of death and mystery.

An exception is made to the Pacific North Western critereon to allow Britt to stun you with a mind-blowing update about our favorite not-so-imaginary friend Jada. After listening little doubt will be left in your mind that 3 year old Elise knows too much about a little girl who died years before her birth.

Once her Jada-induced goosebumps die down Alissa relays a couple of yarns about the run of the mill weirdness that occurs in her area. Just your everyday tales of serial killers, kidnappers and black panthers. She then shares the haunted history of the Reard-Freed Farmhouse in neighboring Sammamish, Washington.

Britt then goes classic PNW with some good old fashioned Big Foot sightings. She’s got Sasquatches by trains, Saquatches by creeks, Sasquatches by lakes, Sasquatches in gilly suits; Washington is silly with Sasquatch!

After lamenting the legend of Sasquatch in Native American folklore, Alissa turns her focus to a building where tales of such sighting are readily swapped over an icy cold pitcher of Ranier lager. She is, of course, referring to the structure with the oddest facade in all of downtown Issaquah, the near century old Rolling Log Tavern. She reports on a thorough paranormal investigation conducted in the bar which surmissed that there are no less than four ghosts inhabiting the old Lumberman haunt; some harmless, some prone to shrieking in your face if you get too near.

Regardless of where you live, you will no doubt be thrilled, chilled and horrified by these tales from the upper left corner of America.

As always thanks for listening, and haunt y’all later.

    Suck A Crystal

    Suck A Crystal

In a radical deviation from past episodes, the stories in this week’s podcast do not conform to any set theme - the only requirement is that they be strange, unsual, spooky or odd. Can you handle the chaos!?

Alissa, of course, pounces on the opportunity to finally share a Near Death Experience (NDE) which involves a rogue psychic reading in a Taco Bell. This reminds her of a time she had her aura read in the bread aisle of a health food store and the outcome defied expectations.

Britt continues to milk the paranormal honeypot that is NextDoor and challenges you, dear listeners, to do the same. Her friend Sabrina obliged and shared an extremely enlightening post from her local Nextdoor on how to rid an unwanted spirit from one’s abode. Required materials include crystals, a means to charge one’s crystals, a Ouija board, and as many St. Christopher statues as you can get your hands on.

After educating us energy clearing Britt goes on to tell us about Shaun, who moved into an empty house in Austin only to quickly realize he was not likely the only spirit occupying the structure. Totems and troubling symbols found around the entryways only added to the bizarre phenoma that he and others experienced in their new home.

Alissa wraps up this potpourri episode with the tale of a child who knows too much. What starts as an innocent comment to his mother leads to much more unsettling experiences involving a surprising prophecy requiring professional intervention.

As always, thank you for listening and Haunt Y’all Later!
