How to Crush Worksite Wellness Programs!

How to Crush Worksite Wellness Programs!

Health coaches who get to work with corporations are considered a big deal in the health coaching space. But you don’t have to work with a huge corporation to be wildly successful. In fact, there’s a huge opportunity to work with small to mid-sized businesses as well as local municipalities who are dying to offer wellness programs for their employees. And while these entities may not have the same budgets that a large corporation does, they are well positioned to offer health coaches opportunities to get paid and get in front of potential clients.

To talk about these opportunities, we invited Marcy Morrison to the show. Marcy is the owner of Healthy Fit Family and HFF Corporate, a corporate wellness consulting business that helps corporations and municipalities start and manage worksite wellness programs. In the past 11 years, she has managed to bring health and wellness professionals into these businesses to get in front of this select demographic in order to make a huge impact.

    • Why do so many people who are the “strong ones” in their relationship have a difficult time overcoming this pattern?

This aims for you to learn more about the following key takeaways:

    • Reasons why you may not be getting actual symptom resolution results even though you've been in therapy for years.
    • The shortest path to where you are now to accomplishing long-held dreams.
    • How to get more pleasure and fulfillment out of your life and relationships.

My Love and Hate Relationship with the CDC

My Love and Hate Relationship with the CDC

    Let's talk about CDC...

CDC is the National Public health Agency of the United States under the Department of Health and Human Services. The main goal is the protection of public health and safety through the control and prevention of disease, injury, and disability in the United States and worldwide. CDC focuses national attention on developing and applying disease control and prevention.

Today, we will discuss my personal thoughts on CDC, both positive and negative. I will speak about what I believe they did well, what they could improve on, and where I think they went wrong. I will also explain why I have such a push-pull, love-hate relationship. Moreover, CDC becomes the soundboard of COVID-19, and COVID-19 Recommendations, COVID-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, there have been some missteps during the entire process. There has been some miscommunication. There's even been some controversy, and I'd want to talk about it and how it's affected me as a public health professional, as a physician, as someone who has to care for patients.

This episode aims for you to learn more about:

    • The 2nd Anniversary of the first COVID-19 case in the US
    • CDC mixed messaging
    • My thoughts on the reduced quarantine recommendations
    • Be able to be more inquisitive about your health information
    • Understanding that the CDC is still a trusted source of information

Lessons Learned As A Health Content Creator

Lessons Learned As A Health Content Creator

Let's talk about the lessons I learned...

Since the day I brought this Lunch and Learn Podcast, there were so many things that we have encountered. There have been a lot of bumps and bruises, but there have also been a lot of good things that have happened. We learn from diverse speakers and grow as a group. When you think about the journey of a podcast that we know, a lot of podcasts really never even make it past 20 episodes and the consistency that it takes to get to the point where we could be talking about crossing episodes. Lunch and Learn Podcast would not be able to maintain its consistency without those people who are watching and listening to my voice. Your continued support motivates me to create more podcast episodes.

This episode of Lunch and Learn with Dr. Berry is going to be an amazing one because we are talking about episode 200! We will discuss what it means to reach episode 200, what we will do over the next hundred episodes, and, we are going to obviously acknowledge a lot of the guests that have come through in these podcasts. We will also talk about how I got into podcasting and why I decided to go on this crazy journey as a health content creator.

So, tune in to today's show and be inspired by our exciting journey in this Lunch and Learn podcast. titled "Lessons Learned As A Health Content Creator".

How COVID 19 Has Broken The Health Care Workers?

How COVID 19 Has Broken The Health Care Workers?

Let's talk about COVID 19 and the Health Care Workers?...

In this terrible period of the pandemic, we have heroes who assist us and care for COVID-19 victims. And one of those is the frontline personnel in the health care system. We are grateful for their lives because, despite the risks, they continue to give life-saving assistance and safety to others who are in desperate need.

This week, the Lunch and Learn Podcast will provide a special episode that needs to be addressed especially with the climate we are in. "How Covid 19 Has Broken The Health Care Workers?" will be discussed and answered. We will discuss what's going on right now with mental health issues or concerns across various allied specialties and specializations within these, particularly in the inpatient environment, which is where the vast majority of individuals are treated from the COVID-19 perspective. Furthermore, the pandemic produces a lot of stress, burnout, and pressures, which pushes a lot of healthcare personnel over the line, causing them to look for other options.

In this episode, titled "How Covid 19 Has Broken The Health Care Workers?" I discuss my opinions and concerns, and more importantly, we will try to figure out what we can do.

What Happens When Your Doctor Gets Sued

What Happens When Your Doctor Gets Sued

What To do When Your Doctor Gets Sued ...

Medscape conducted research in which doctors from various specialties were questioned. They were asked if they have been sued. Interestingly, 60% of individuals who answered this Medscape poll have been sued at least once. And if the doctors were at least 60 years or older, that number increased to 80%.

In this episode, we will discuss an important topic: "What Happens When Your Doctor Is Sued." I will be recounting my own experience with my first case.

Today we are taught and reminded that doctors aren't obliged to be perfect, nor are they expected to be. We're just required to give the patient our best effort. I want to inform you that if the physician got sued, it doesn't make them bad.
