Episode 58: Hansal Mehta
Hansal Mehta joins us for a chat on two of his early films, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar and Chhal. One's a black comedy about end of innocence. The other's a sharp action drama centered around betrayal. Both films had compelling story lines, terrific cast, great music and both attempted something new in their technique. Two films I wish more people would watch. Why? I make my case on the episode. Gulmohar Review: Anti-Hero to Hum Saath Saath Hain
Packed with a phenomenal cast including Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee and Simran, Gulmohar can be described as an anti-hero to Hum Saath Saath Hain or a new age Baghban.
The beauty of the film lies solely in its portrayal of family and the class disparity prevalent in our society. The director, Rahul V. Chittella, does an excellent job at not only capturing beautiful shots, but also heartwarming ones.

Gali Guleiyan Review: Gets Better the Second Time
I caught Manoj Bajpayee and Dipesh Jain's Gali Guleiyan in a theatre in 2018. Since then, I have been waiting for it to come to OTT. Now that the film is streaming on Amazon Prime, here's my review of this highly intense film.
The film revolves around Khuddoos, a man living in Old Delhi who peeps into others' lives via CCTV cameras. One day, he overhears a kid getting beaten up by his father. He wants to save him. Will he be able to? Tune in to find out.
