Zack Snyder Bringing a New Hope | George R R Martin Breaks Our Hearts | The Rock Makes it All Better | + More

This week we shared our thoughts on Zack Snyder making a Star Wars movie in all but name, George R R Martin finds more things to keep himself from finishing his Game of Thrones books, The Rock is after Ryan Reynolds, Avatar secrets revealed, and did we just stumble on a secret Archer movie being made? Probably not, but Matthew Vaughn sure seems to be trying his best.  All that and more.

On this week's podcast special guest T makes a triumphant return to talk about Lukas Gage's viral video calling out a director for his un-muted snobbery  during a Zoom audition; Cazzie David calling out Pete Davidson's post-relationship disrespect following their breakup; Scott Disick and Amelia Hamlin's fake-ationship; Taylor Swift and Scoot Braun's master-selling mayhem; a Naomi Campbell/Tyra Banks feud update; and Isaiah Washington resurrecting his feud with Katherine Heigl.

    Episode 79 - Kick-Ass (2010)

    Episode 79 - Kick-Ass (2010)

Although we've come, to the end of the road. Still I can't let go. It's unnatural. You belong to me. I belong to you.
Although we're done! No more watch-ing this chode! Still he's not good, no. It's just factual. He's just too crazy. But what can you do?

You guys, we're doi-WE DID IT! We told you we were gonna do it, and we stuck to our guns, and we dug deep, and we (insert cliche inspirational bullshit here), and we crossed the finish line, with flair!
The boys that you know and love sat down, cozied up, and settled in for their final movie watch of the podcast: Nic Cage's best-rated movie, 2010's "Kick-Ass."
From worst. To best. According to your IMDB ratings. We watched them. We gauged him. We each threatened to quit a few times. We became better friends, better lovers, better film critics. We became dads. We ate a few things. Drank a few more. Rawdawgged as much as we could rawdawg. All on the mic, of course. And we had a few laughs along the way.

We get one last peek inside the boys' Father's Day weekends, we get a cooking lesson from a couple of professional-Guy Fieri's-in-training, and we share a harrowing tale of a boys' poker night gone wild.

For those of you that have been with us since the beginning, 80 episodes deep...Thank you. We literally would not have done this without you.

***We will have one more episode after this. A grand finale. A recap. A "Best of." So stay tuned!***

And without further adieu, Let's. Get. Into. It.

Episode 24 - Kingsman: The Golden Example of Bad Marketing

Episode 24 - Kingsman: The Golden Example of Bad Marketing

A prime example of trailers fucking everything up. Kingsman: The Golden Circle, violent and smutty as the first, returns with some great additions to the first. However the differences between the film and its promotion come under the lens this week on Ignorance is This, leaving Scott and Oliver asking what it would be like to experience the film that could have been. Oliver also NAILS Scott's stupid Rotten Tomatoes game and HAMMERS home some great Haiku's that stumps Scott's deciphering skills. Gee, I wonder who whote this description.

ALSO, looking back at the year, what films would we give an immediate second viewing to?

    Kingsman: The Secret Service

    Kingsman: The Secret Service

This is not the movie you think it is. At least, that's the take of our round table of thugs on The Film Board this week as we spoil Kingsman: The Secret Service. Thankfully, even as we were collectively surprised, we were equally blown away by Matthew Vaughn's contribution to the spy game.

Let's start here and get it right out of the way: Colin Firth is a proper action hero. No one saw that coming, least of all, we imagine, Colin Firth. That's just the first of our stunning realizations this week as we talk about the comic source material from which this film erupts. We take on parallel versus sequential storytelling techniques. We talk about shakycam (GOOD LORD SHAKYCAM) and the cinematographic challenges of making people look like heroes.

All that and so much more, including one of Tommy Metz III's best additions to the Flickchart Song Collection (FSC).

Join TJ and Clark to discuss ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ because there’s a lot here to like! Bryan Singer is back at the helm of the franchise and he certainly gets it right. But there are a few things to complain about as well, because duh! Also discussed the upcoming ‘Stargate’ reboot, ‘Batman v Superman’ and how it relates to ‘Justice League’, the firing of Edgar Wright from ‘Ant-Man’, the ‘Big Hero 6’ trailer, and Gareth Edwards upcoming directorial installment of a ‘Star Wars’ Spinnoff film.
