Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mean Can't Be In - Wed. 7-12-23 #979

I listened to a fantastic "Tuesday People Podcast" - listen to it HERE.    Mitch Albom & Lisa Goich got me thinking about how much "mean" there is in the world and got me also thinking about how there has to be a better way.  I'm hoping you enjoy this episode, as it is coming in 2 different parts.  The intro is just me and then the other part is a Facebook Live recording I did earlier in the day.  Hopefully some good stuff here for you to pick a few things from.  Thanks again for investing your time with me.

Bob Sutton (Stanford University) - How to Outwit Workplace Jerks
Even as adults, we still have to deal with bullies, at work and otherwise. Stanford Professor Bob Sutton has devoted his career to studying organizational behavior and dysfunction, and of late, figuring out how we all can avoid or deal with people who demean, disrespect and drain their peers. The professor of management science and engineering draws on academic research and anecdotal evidence included in his new book, "The Asshole Survival Guide: How to Deal with People Who Treat You Like Dirt."

    Generosity (3 of 4)

    Generosity (3 of 4)
We have seen many people that have had much money and yet they didn't have what money seemed to promise, health and prosperity and every good thing. It seems like it still eludes them, so we looked at that and saw that Jesus taught very specifically about us placing God first. To be generous is to be liberal. It's an attitude of heart that shows up in every area of your life including finances. Generosity exposes selfishness!
