    Episode Introduction

Hello, everyone, I'm Marco Ciappelli, and this is another exciting episode of the Audio Signal Podcast. If you've been tuning in recently, you know that we've shifted our focus a bit – not just on the stories themselves, but on the storytellers and the diverse mediums they use to express their narratives. And today, we're exploring one of my personal favorites: music.

Music, in all its forms, carries stories that resonate with us, regardless of genre. That's why I'm thrilled to have Drew Ryder Smith with us, a multifaceted songwriter, producer, and artist straight from the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Drew's journey is as eclectic as his musical influences, and today, he'll share with us the intricacies of songwriting, the fusion of lyrics and melody, and the personal tales that shape his art.

Drew's story starts in Southern middle Tennessee, where his proximity to Nashville and a household filled with diverse musical tastes laid the foundation for his career. From the storytelling prowess of Steve Earle and John Prine to the iconic sounds of Guns N' Roses and the Eagles, Drew's influences are as varied as the genres they represent. This melting pot of musical styles not only shaped his taste but also his approach to songwriting.

As Drew takes us through his journey, we'll delve into the songwriting process – a blend of personal introspection, collaboration, and spontaneous creativity. Drew's transition from solo writing to co-writing in Nashville showcases the evolution of his art form, where ideas and melodies intertwine to create something that resonates with a wide audience.

Throughout our conversation, we'll touch on the challenges and triumphs of a career in music. From navigating publishing deals to the constant quest for creative fulfillment, Drew's experiences mirror the ups and downs of any artist's path. His stories are not just about music; they're about perseverance, adaptation, and the relentless pursuit of passion.

So, join us on this melodic journey as we explore the soul of songwriting with Drew Ryder Smith. Let's discover how stories are woven into songs, creating a tapestry of emotions that define our shared human experience.

Welcome back to another episode of Mahakatha, the podcast where we dive deep into the power of mantras and meditation. I'm your host, Preeti, and today's episode is all about the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.

This mantra has been creating waves of love and healing for years, and we are so grateful for the ongoing support and beautiful comments from our listeners. In fact, we have a special treat for all of you who want to incorporate this powerful mantra into your daily practice.

But before we get into that, I want to share a heartfelt story that inspired me, and I believe it will bring a new dimension to your experience with the Hare Krishna Mahakatha.

Picture a beautiful park, where elderly citizens gather every morning to practice pranayama and laughter therapy. As I sat in my apartment nearby, I could hear their sweet, resonating voices chanting a mantra that melted my heart. It was as if the fragrance of incense filled the air, only this time it was the gentle sound of their chanting.

This experience had a profound effect on me and my own chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahakatha. It influenced my voice, creating a unique sound that I'm thrilled to share with you. This mantra holds a special place in my heart, as it was recorded several years ago on Janmashtami, a day dedicated to Lord Krishna.

In this episode, I'll take you back to that auspicious day when I received a phone call from my brother, Prashant, urging me to quickly record a Krishna mantra for our listeners. I had just woken up, my voice still filled with the softness of the morning, and I needed to think of a mantra that would resonate deeply.

Thankfully, I remembered a simple Krishna mantra that had touched my soul, and as I chanted it, I was transported to a place of pure bliss. The power and transformative effect of this mantra, combined with my own personal experience, created something truly captivating.

This mantra is easy to learn, and it doesn't feel exhausting or forced to chant. With its melodious melody, soothing music, and the space it creates around you, it can be practiced at any time of the day, not just in the morning.

So, get ready to immerse yourself in the enchanting Hare Krishna Mahakatha, as we explore its origins, share its captivating story, and provide you with a special discount to make it a part of your personal mantra practice. Stay tuned, and let's begin this beautiful journey together.

Harmony with God (circa 2016) | Ep. 111

Harmony with God (circa 2016) | Ep. 111

What would it look like if every area of your life was in perfect harmony, like a beautifully orchestrated piece of music? Join us as we journey through the Bible, from the creation story in Genesis to the tale of Solomon, as we uncover the deep spiritual significance of harmony and examine what happens when it's disrupted. We delve into the idea of the body as an instrument, with each part playing a crucial role in creating a harmonious whole, and the implications of this for the body of Christ, the Church.

We uncover the concept of sin, framing it as missing the mark, or out of tune with God's harmony, and highlight how this disharmony manifests in our lives as shame, fear, and guilt. We bring to light the powerful message of the consequences of disobedience to God's commands using the real-life examples of Solomon and the Israelites, showing clearly how misalignment with God's direction leads to discord and ultimately destruction.

Yet, our exploration doesn't end in despair. We also illuminate the path back to harmony through repentance and steadfastness to God's word. We uncover the true essence of repentance - a change in thoughts and behaviors, and a striving to be in agreement with God's word, His way, and His will. Hopefully, you will leave encouraged to seek harmony with the Lord in your own life to bring about righteousness, peace, and joy.
