    Lucie Harrild

    Lucie Harrild

Meet Lucie Harrild and her soon to be launched Comhla business that will include teaching mending and sewing in pop up places around the UK later this year.

Comhla is about 'Making it easier to care about the world and get dressed'.

Lucie has been a sustainability consultant for large corporates and now she's using that knowledge and training to make a difference for local communities.

    Kate Sekules

    Kate Sekules

Kate Sekules is the author of Mend! a Refashioners Manual and Manifesto. She's also the force behind #mendmarch each year.

Kate has done so much in her life including being in a rock band and supported Joy Division; boxed professionally, started the Refashioner and now is studying her phd in mending.

She has taken refashioning and made it engaging and fun. You'll get addicted to visible mending. The garment is already broken so visible mending will bring out your artistic self. No skills required. Newbies to mending will enjoy giving their clothes another life and using Kate's knowledge, more people can mend and not add to landfill.

For those of you who have been through so much trauma, that you're afraid you'll never return to "normal," this one's for you. This goes for romantic relationships, family, friends, co workers, etc. Tune in to hear about both experiences, and try to remember that one day you WILL see why something happened the way that it did. Our team of light made a special appearance, and we're asking for you to write us with any stories or moments you think people could benefit from hearing. Let us know if you'd like to be anonymous. A promise that is greater than your problem - Audio

A promise that is greater than your problem - Audio
As children we acted out and played what life would be like. None of us could have imagined how life would turn out and what we would have to face. Life doesn’t play fair. Life doesn’t play by the rules. Life for everybody gets frazzled at times. The pressures and problems in life can wear us down. God knows all this. He is the creator and knows all that we will encounter in life. God came to earth in the flesh and encountered the same things we do. The bible tells us that He was tempted in all things. So He knows how we feel. He has been there. In our text, Peter writing to the first century church provides encouragement. God inspires Peter to provide a promise that should offer encouragement to us even today. He is the God of all grace. Whatever the need in our life, God’s grace is sufficient to answer that need. Peter tells them (and us) that after we suffer for a while, we will be made perfect. The word perfect here in the Greek refers to a process for mending the fishing nets. Bro. Hughes tells us that no matter what holes or tears there may be in our life, God’s grace is sufficient to mend the holes and put it back together and make it perfect. God’s promise is greater than our problems.
