Middle Aged Man Tries To Sound Deep (Cringe)

Middle Aged Man Tries To Sound Deep (Cringe)

Nothing is more unstoppable than a man who has walked through hell and back for the people he loved but have never loved him back.
This man has dealt with battles inside his mind in a month than most have in their entire lives.
This man has looked the devil right in his eyes and has said, not today son and walks right on leaving only some wounds and scars from the flames decorate his body as they are proud badges of how far hes come to be in a place of solitude and peace within his life.

The deep lines within his eyes are proof that hes been seen and not heard and hes had to walk this life alone.
He comes home after a hard days work, he speaks to no one, he lives with no one, except his coon hound.
He’s a shattered broken man who has gone insane in more than one occasion.

HE travels the open road like a modern cowboy on the search of something that truly feels like home…but these men…these men are the true men…the lost boys

For many people, the notion of body typing has been a useful tool in understanding how to best dress their bodies. Unfortunately, it can also be limiting and even damaging if taken too literally. In this podcast, we will discuss why body typing doesn't work—and why your body is not the shape of a geometric shape or the shape of a fruit!

First, let's look at what body typing is: it's the idea that certain physical characteristics—such as height, weight, and body shape—can be used to determine which types of clothing styles might look best on someone. This can be helpful for finding an overall sense of style that works for you. However, it’s important to remember that everyone is different and there isn’t one type of clothing that looks good on all body shapes.

When it comes to choosing clothes based on your unique body type, one size does not fit all. For example, some women may have an hourglass figure with curves in the right places while others may have a more athletic build with broader shoulders or muscular legs. Each woman should take her individual features into account when selecting clothing that complements her shape and makes her feel confident.

Finally, never forget to consider your lifestyle when shopping for clothes; do you need comfortable clothing for running errands? Business professional attire for work? Or something more glamorous for special occasions? Knowing what activities you need clothing for will help guide your choices so you don't have to rely solely on body typing rules.

At the end of the day, wearing clothing that fits your unique features can help make sure you look and feel your best! Body typing does offer helpful suggestions about what kind of styles may work well for certain figures but try not to restrict yourself by sticking strictly to these generalizations – remember: no two bodies are alike!

    My Midlife Makeover Story

    My Midlife Makeover Story

Today I'm sharing my midlife makeover.  Your story might be different but the end result is the same...it's time to decide how we want to behave, dress, and be in midlife.

Join me inside my style coaching program THE MIDLIFE STYLE SCHOOL

I am sharing my heart behind why we are narrowing down the podcast to midlife women and why it's important to me.

In addition to sharing my personal reasons, I also shared 7 general reasons how women in midlife will benefit from this podcast.

    1. We want advice that speaks to our experience with career, family and finances. Women in midlife often have different concerns than younger women such as what discreetly covers aging skin or how to dress for professional success without looking too stuffy.

    2. Midlife women have different styles than younger women - We know that the styles of the younger generation are constantly changing, so midlife women need fashion advice specifically tailored to their needs. This means understanding which trends are appropriate for a more mature look and adapting existing trends to flatter a woman in her 40s and 50s.

    3. Midlife women have a wealth of knowledge and experience - As midlife women, we have the benefit of already having years of life experiences behind us. This means that we can use these experiences to our advantage when it comes to looking good. We can learn from our past experiences, what works for us and what doesn't, allowing us to create a unique wardrobe that flatters our body type and complexion perfectly.

    4. Midlife women need more accessible fashion resources – Many fashion resources are geared towards younger generations, making them inaccessible for midlife women who may not be as familiar with the current trends or how to shop for clothes in their age range. By focusing on providing fashion tips specifically for midlife women, we can help make fashion more accessible without compromising on style or quality.

     5. Fashion isn’t just about clothes; it’s about self-expression and confidence which are important at any age but especially so during midlife when we may feel like our best years are behind us. By focusing on fashion tips specifically tailored towards this stage of life, we can help empower women to embrace their beauty as they enter into their older years with grace and poise.

    6. Midlife women often lack confidence in their appearance - With age comes wisdom but it also brings changes in self-perception; something that may cause midlife women to feel less confident about their appearance than they did when they were younger. By providing advice tailored specifically for

Weight, Shame and Grace with Jennie Guinn of Catholic Moms in the Middle

Weight, Shame and Grace with Jennie Guinn of Catholic Moms in the Middle

Jennie Guinn, Life Coach at Catholic Moms in the Middle,  shares her struggle with shame and unworthiness. For many years these feelings were deeply tied into her battle to lose weight.

Jennie realized her weight loss was a spiritual matter that couldn't be fixed with things of the world alone. Jennie began to lose weight as she spent more time in solitude with the Lord and was honest about what was unfolding in her heart. Jennie found an eating program that works great for her and is now close to her weight loss goal.

Jennie discoverd the most significant part of her weight loss journey was “losing the weight of the lies she had been telling herself.”

Jennie's time of solitude and weight loss has been part of what she calls a “Season of Grace." Jennie has created an acronym for the world "Grace" that reflects her personal journey with God:

    • God’s Mercy
    • Rest
    • Awareness
    • Connection
    • Epiphany

    Aging and Multiple Sclerosis

    Aging and Multiple Sclerosis

Our immune systems become less robust as we age. With an autoimmune disease such as multiple sclerosis, a weakened immune system can lead to less relapses and active MRI lesions. However, many people living with multiple sclerosis develop progressive disease with worsening physical and cognitive disability as they age. Strategies to live better with MS as one grows older are shared.

The vast majority of treatments for multiple sclerosis have been studied in people 55 years of age or younger. However, 46% of people living with MS are older than age 55. New studies are answering important questions about MS treatment in older patients. At what age can treatment safely be stopped without risk of relapse or worsening disability? Safety concerns such as serious infections, cancer risk, and immunization responsiveness in older MS patients on immunosuppressive treatments are addressed.

Barry Singer MD, director of The MS Center for Innovations in Care, interviews:

Bianca Weinstock-Guttman MD, Professor of Neurology at the Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, New York, and the Director of the Jacobs MS Center for Treatment and Research.

John Corboy MD, Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Rocky Mountain MS Center.
