    Behind the goal

    Behind the goal

Adam Wallace is energetic, animated, passionate, purpose-driven and totally inspiring. To me, he epitomises what living your best life looks like. He loves everything he does, he does things outside of the norm, he is making a difference in many people's lives, and he is leaving a legacy that will live on, long after he is gone. He wants people to recognise that we are only on planet earth for a finite period of time, so it's important that we make the most of every second and do things that will live on after we have gone.

He has the benefit of both an analytical and creative side. His engineering background combined with his passion for empowering children with his books, drawing and school visits has seen him go on to publish more than 150 books and sell over 5 millions of them all around the world. He has had seven of his books hit top-ten on the NY Times bestseller list. His astronomical success has come through vision, expectancy, goal setting, and goal achievement process.

This is an incredibly powerful, energising, and inspiring conversation in which Adam and I discuss some powerful and simple strategies that you can apply today to create more in 2024. We discuss goal setting, and we dig deeper to some foundational ideas and look at what is behind the goals to ensure we get the results we spire to. There is a joyful world of passion and purpose waiting for you, as soon as you believe  and deserve you can do it, set goals, and do the work required. Enjoy this wonderful conversation with Adam Wallace.

    Keep moving forward

    Keep moving forward

Martin Henry said: It was on my second 10-day residential healthy eating and living retreat that this principle finally sunk in, that the body was made to win, to thrive, to heal. Give it the right nutrition, the right training and conditions and it will do all it can to bring itself back to health. Of course there are many occasions when more than this is needed, I am all for Doctors and the medical world, but much of what we encounter our body is designed to overcome, and so it was with me.

His own body, and those of his wife and three children, are all affected by the same chronic and incredibly debilitating condition that many would consider a barrier to living a joyful life. But, not the Henry family. No matter what they are experiencing they have dedicated themselves to finding joy and gratitude every day, but also moving forward no matter hard it may seem. It has been this trudging to triumph which saw Martin become incredible successful in business, and then help navigate his family though the day to day challenges of chronic issues.

Martin is now a personal trainer, helping many, soon-to-be an author, and is changing lives every single day. This is one of the most inspiring conversations, with one of the most humble people I have ever had. There is so much richness in everything Martin discusses, and I know this conversation will impact many lives, starting with your own.

    Let's talk about sex

    Let's talk about sex

Kelly Myles and I go back many years. I am very grateful to have been with her on her journey to become an author and watch her courageously transition out of many decades in the hairdressing industry and into a coaching career that she is loving. Kelly is now having a powerful and profound impact on many lives through her coaching business. It's interesting how many of her clients are finding challenges with their relationships and sex life. So, in this conversation we discuss it.

We all love sex, and we all want great sex, yet for so many people - including myself for many years - sex has been more a source of stress and anxiety than one of joy and pleasure. Whilst there are many short term, quick-fix, and gimmicky suggested solutions out there to help people improve sexual performance, the key seems to have very little to do with sex at all. It's all about communication and connection.

Kelly talks in detail about some very simple things we can all do to improve connection, improve communication and significantly improve intimacy. None of which involves tablets, toys, or toe-touching! This is one of those conversations that is relevant to every person, no matter age, gender, or relationship status. This is a wonderful conversation with Kelly that I enjoyed immensely and hope you do also,

    Fly on the wall

    Fly on the wall

On his website, Jem Fuller says:

Through my colourful and wonderfully varied life, I have been curious as to how much influence we have over the quality of our experiences and the results we get. This interest has led me to study various ancient healing arts, mind practices and in the last 2 decades leadership, coaching, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Human Behavioural Profiling and Mindfulness Meditation.

The answer to my enquiry has been a resounding “YES”… The way we think, focus, act and move… our perspective and mental agility, our ability to communicate and access equanimity, have profound impacts on our lives and the lives of others.

My mission is to share this with you.

I loved my conversation with Jem as he honestly and transparently discusses his journey which has led him around the world, to devastating loss, to learning and growing, and finally to the place now where he impacts and inspires many people through his speaking, his facilitating and his writing. What he has discovered, and we discuss, is that communication is the key to happiness, fulfillment, wellbeing and prosperity. Not just communication, but deliberate, self-aware and conscious communication.

In this conversation we talk about a range of amazing things. We discuss communication, we delve into ego, and we talk about the importance of self-awareness coupled with self-okayness. We discovered the foundation of communication comes down to the identity we have of ourselves, and the basis of that identity. What would the fly on the wall hear that was spoken about you at your funeral? An important question to ponder. This is an engaging and inspiring podcast I urge you to listen to.

    The miracle question

    The miracle question

I loved speaking with Dr Matt Zakreski. Full time American, part-time Aussie who spent many years down-under surfing, connecting with people and drinking VB. Dr Matt is a gifted and neuro-diverse person who has developed an incredible passion and become a longtime advocate for the underserved needs of Gifted kids, Dr. Matt has shaped his career around his passion for serving this population, starting with being a counselor (and a camper) at the Center for Talented Youth summer program as a teenager. Dr. Matt has his own private practice, The Neurodiversity Collective, LLC, and offers therapy, consultation/coaching, and assessment. Additionally, Dr. Matt's facebook page has become a fun platform for mental health advocacy and humor.

Hi perspective on helping all people get out of 'the box' that society tends to push people into is transformational. His focus on helping people identify values and living a value-driven life by getting them to ask 'the miracle question' is inspiring. His desire to help people play to their strengths and love their lives is empowering. His experience and close call with a shark while surfing in Sydney is a little scary, but entertaining!

Dr. Matt loves keynoting and speaking at conferences and has proudly done so all over the USA and internationally. He additionally provides trainings and consultations for business and school to increase support for neurodiverse individuals of all ages. He previously served as a board member of PAGE, the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education, and continues to work closely with multiple state organizations around the country. This is a powerful and inspiring conversation, not to be missed.

    Slivers of recovery

    Slivers of recovery

The story of Leanne Spencer starts in March 2012. She was working for a market data company in the City of London; her career had spanned about 17 years but she was bored and unfulfilled, and self-medicating against increasing stress levels with alcohol (lots of it, daily). She felt like she was wasting her life, bouncing from pay day to pay day and living in an increasingly unsustainable way. Things came to a head one afternoon in March, as she was crossing over London Bridge having left a client meeting and had just received bad news about a deal she was expecting to hit my sales target. She was burned out, chronically abusing alcohol and several stone overweight. In addition to that, everything she was doing and saying lacked authenticity. It was time for a drastic change.

On Monday morning she resigned. She was free, but unemployed and with very little in her savings account. It was a nervous time because she had no clear plan about what she was going to do next. She realised what she wanted to do was really at the intersection of two things: business and health, so that was the genesis of her company, Bodyshot. Since then, she has written three bestselling books, hosts two podcasts, has been written about in Entrepreneur Magazine and have spoken for companies such as Odeon Cinemas, DAZN, Britvic, Zurich Insurance, iTech Media, Bacardi, Thoughtworks, Moonbug Entertainment, Flywire and many more. Her personal values are to live truthfully, considerately and to "suck all the marrow out of life" to paraphrase the poet Thoreau.

In this fabulous podcast we discuss the key aspects of living a life of joy, and totally aligned with identity, values and purpose. The key area we focus on is recovery and how to simply and easily incorporate slivers of recovery into even the most hectic of lifestyles. This truly is a wonderful conversation I know you will benefit from.

    Choose you

    Choose you

The first thing you will notice about Rhianne Miller, as soon as she starts speaking, is that she is totally down-to-earth and passionate about loving her life. The first statement she made that grabbed my attention was that her goal is to  live a life that she doesn't need a holiday from. That is the life she has created for herself, so if that isn't a reason to listen to find out how she did that, I don't know what is.

Just a few years ago, Rhianne's life was travelling along beautifully. She was happy, seemingly healthy, had a great job and was loving her life. Soon after her 32nd birthday a breast cancer diagnosis rocked her world. She was expecting a great year, but was she ended up with was a journey that has totally transformed her life. After all the treatment, a mastectomy and a failed reconstruction, she decided that she would just live with one breast, and love herself anyway. She has publicly and unashamedly honored herself and her body as a message to all people that they are beautiful, just the way they are.

Rhianne is using her challenge and journey as a way to help other people experiencing adversity in their lives. She is currently developing an online wellness hub called Rhivive, as a one-stop shop where she is bringing together wellness businesses to nurture people through difficult times. She is now choosing herself and encourages people everywhere to choose themselves. She is an enthusiastic and passionate beacon of light and hope for every single person, and this truly is a conversation that everyone needs to hear.

    Finding happiness

    Finding happiness

Just as Todd Patkin should have been at the highest of highs, he spiralled into a breakdown, which left him depressed and suicidal. He had just sold his family business for $100,000,000.00, had a great marriage and healthy son, yet it got to the point, whilst at lunch with his father, he couldn't even decide between the coleslaw and the potato salad. His life of insecurity, low self-esteem and chasing success had finally caught up with him. When he should have been the happiest, he found himself far from it.

Todd made a decision to find happiness, and that decision started him on a remarkable journey. Since that time in 2011, he has written books and created audio material on happiness. He has toured the USA teaching his Twelve Weeks to Happiness program. Todd has been on hundreds of radio and tv shows, was Readers Digest’s happiness person of the year for 2012 and even worked with Deepak Chopra.

Todd's formula for happiness is very simple, just not easy, and is outlined in his twelve week program that he wants you to have and follow as his gift. Yes, that is no charge. In this podcast Todd and I discuss many cool things, including talking through some of the key principles and elements of his wonderful program. If you are struggling to find happiness in your life, or know someone who is, this is an essential conversation to listen to.

    Success is an inside job

    Success is an inside job

Michael Alcée grew up seeing therapy and thriving go hand in hand.

As a social worker, his mother had an office on the side of their house, and he would often pass clients on their way out as he was riding his bike down the street. They looked so much lighter than when they came in.  Intrigued by the magic happening inside, he wanted to learn how to create and be a part of that magic, too.

It wasn’t uncommon for his piano practice to sneak in past the soundproofing of my mother’s office. Surprisingly enough, many clients told her how much they enjoyed the playing, lamenting it when it wasn’t there, and even requesting it when it was quiet. From this, Michael learned the importance of how much we all seek to have the arts in our lives – and what a difference that truly makes. As somebody who’s always appreciated music, literature, and the arts, he loves to bring it all together in his work as a therapist and to be part of the magic that therapy truly brings.

Michael, now a PhD in clinical psychology, a psychotherapist, a mental health educator and an author, his passion is to help his clients feel the freedom on the inside so they can create the life they want on the outside. With a unique perspective on emotional regulation and the power of the artistic creativity we all possess, Michael is having a profound effect on many lives. Including yours, as you enjoy this wonderful conversation.

    Play a bigger game

    Play a bigger game

Kate Strong and I, from different ends of the world, spoke as guests on each others podcasts. To be honest, talking to Kate, I felt, and still feel, that I need to play a bigger game. As she shared her story with me, and then told me how she had given up all her revenue streams to focus on building a bike out of bamboo in preparation to ride 5000km around the UK to create awareness of climate change, I knew this was a special lady and it was going to be an incredible conversation. I wasn't wrong.

Kate has incredible diversity in her background: engineer, athlete, coach, speaker, adventurer and advocate. She spoke about her transition from business owner, living in poverty, yet with so much richness, as she described it, to world champion tri-athlete in just two years, which is an incredible story in itself. Then to find her mission and passion for advocating for action against climate change and building sustainability, which has got her doing things that many would not believe possible. She is most certainly living a bigger game than many.

Kate is currently operating and thriving on faith that things will fall into place, and there are. She is focussed on her own identity and making sure it is one that she cannot lose in the journey of life. She is most definitely living and inspiring others to live a life outside their comfort zone and is reaping the rewards of joy, passion, purpose, meaning, significance and self-worth as a result. She is inspiring people all around the world to play a bigger game. Trust me when I say this is a conversation not to be missed.

    Backbone and heart

    Backbone and heart

Steve Pinner describes himself as a run-of-the-mill bloke who loves his family, loves his mates and loves his sport. He is passionate about helping men to be the best they can be and be positive role models in the life of the women, children and other men in their lives. He is well aware that there is a challenging stage for men between 35 and 55 years of age, as they transition into their older adult years, that men can find themselves lost and asking, what is it all about?

In late 2014 he lost a job he loved. Made redundant out of the blue. With his 41st birthday only weeks away and with a young family to provide for, he found myself in a bit of a pickle. To complicate things, he was also struggling a bit in a number of areas of his life. In effect, he was putting up a brave front while battling away behind closed doors. He  was not depressed, but he was down at times and often sleepless with worry. He realised this is not an uncommon feeling for men, and  became passionate about finding a way to help men re-engage with their lives.

The research that he undertook was eye opening and life changing. It was changing his life and he knew that it would do the same to the men of his generation. He talks about a rite-of-passage that all boys need to go through to become healthy men and have a positive influence on many other members of their community. He offers some wonderful strategies for men to help them transition with ease and purpose into the many different phases of their lives. This is a powerful, inspiring and wonderful conversation you do not want to miss.
