Carol Platt Liebau: How Much Is a Little Girl’s Life Worth

“How much is a little girl’s life worth?” Simone Biles asked at a Senate hearing last week, after a scathing report on the FBI’s investigation into former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar.

The FBI initially ignored the allegations about Nassar. He was eventually sentenced to over 300 years in prison in 2018 for allegedly molesting more than 330 women and girls.

Even as the FBI delayed following up on the accusations, Nassar continued the assaults. When agents on the case were confronted with their lack of action on the Nassar matter, they lied.

Even worse, it turns out one of the agents had been discussing a job with the Olympics Committee with USA Gymnastics. Yet that agent has been allowed to retire with his federal pension intact.

It’s another verse in the same old song: Washington elites escape accountability for behavior that would be very costly for people outside the Beltway. It’s a corrupt status quo that cannot stand.

Governor Phil Bryant | The U.S. Constitution — Protecting First Amendment Rights to Free Speech and Religious Freedom | The Humanitarian and National Security Crisis on the Southern Border

Governor Bryant also draws from his early experiences as a law enforcement officer and an undercover officer in America's drug war and communicates about fentanyl which is 50 times more potent than heroin. Governor Phil Bryant also shares his own experiences from the US-Mexico border during 2019, joining Mississippi's National Guard with Major General Janson D. Boyles, the adjutant general of Mississippi and the United States Customs and Border Protection on a dangerous night mission as illegal immigrants led by "coyotes" from an organized crime network were apprehended. The Customs and Border Protection recently reported: "Laredo Sector Border Patrol has encountered a dangerous trend of weapons being encountered during human smuggling events. Within 24 hours, three weapons were seized in three separate events involving human smuggling." Governor Phil Bryant served as Mississippi’s 64th governor from 2012 to 2020. 026: Interview with Minor League Mom, Debbie Mikolajchak

Debbie Mikolajchak from Houston, Texas, is the mother of Nick Mikolajchak. Nick is a 6’2” right-handed pitcher playing in the minors with the Indians Organization. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 11th round as a junior from Sam Houston State University in 2019.

In this episode, Debbie talks about Nick's career and what it was like to raise a future professional baseball player. She also discusses their experience with the Texas snowstorm from earlier this year and how it thwarted Nick's ability to get to Spring Training on time.

Debbie also talks about her experience watching Nick play baseball in the Cape Cod Baseball League, and how she was able to quit her job as a teacher and run a virtual health and fitness business so that she could have more flexibility watching her son's baseball games.

In addition to the concerns about human trafficking, with cartels now charging $5,000 to $10,000 per person to bring illegal immigrants to the US, drug smuggling, and specifically the fentanyl supply coming through the Southern border has increased significantly. Governor Bryant also draws from his early experiences as a law enforcement officer and an undercover officer in America's drug war and communicates about fentanyl which is 50 times more potent than heroin. Governor Phil Bryant also shares his own experiences from the US-Mexico border during 2019, joining Mississippi's National Guard with Major General Janson D. Boyles, the adjutant general of Mississippi and the United States Customs and Border Protection on a dangerous night mission as illegal immigrants led by "coyotes" from an organized crime network were apprehended. The Customs and Border Protection recently reported: "Laredo Sector Border Patrol has encountered a dangerous trend of weapons being encountered during human smuggling events. Within 24 hours, three weapons were seized in three separate events involving human smuggling." This episode we are discussing the Great Lakes Loons baseball team located in MIdland, MI.
Many people do not know this but the Great Lakes Loons baseball team is the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Low- A Minor League baseball affiliate since the teams inception in 2006. The 2020 World Series Champions, the LA Dodgers, have 13 players that were once Loons players. The Great Lakes Loons were also the Midwest League Champions in 2016.
