    Concert Mishaps

    Concert Mishaps

This episode was constructed in the wake of the events that took place in Houston, Texas at a music festival put on by Travis Scott. We highlight some other instances in which concerts went awry. In this episode, we cover events that date as far back as 1969 and travel through time to 1999. Some of the events that we cover are as follows:

    • The Rolling Stones concert at Altamont Speedway
    • The Who's Concert disaster in Cincinnati, Ohio
    • Woodstock 1999
    • Other popular music festivals

    The Science of Parking Lots

    The Science of Parking Lots

Maybe there is an underlying science in the management of parking lots to make them efficient and profitable.
The reason this became "a thing" with me is due to an experience I encountered at Atlanta Airport, the World's busiest.
This episode of stupidity is documented in my book "Travel Diaries of an Atypical Businessman - Unfiltered".
I am pretty sure many of you have experienced something similar or bizarre as this, but based on the fact that I tried my best to be efficient and organized as possible, there is always the unplanned, the poor judgments, the unfortunate, and things beyond our control that get in the way.
This whole story is ridiculous that it had to be documented and spoken.
Always be on your guard folks.

The Fire Department Showed Up ft. Marke Johnson of The Made Shop

The Fire Department Showed Up ft. Marke Johnson of The Made Shop

We get the idea of ghosting when there’s something to gain from it. And by “get” we mean we don’t actually get it, but it makes more sense than ghosting someone after paying them.
Like, are you in the business of giving money away? If so, send 👻 our way, pls and thanks.
So anyways, back to our point. It’s one thing to be a jerk and to ghost someone BEFORE paying them. It’s like a take-backsie of all of the time and energy that you and the other person invested into your relationship.
It’s another thing to pay the freelancer the money, and then ghost them entirely. Therein lies our confusion and the fact that we’re sitting here whispering “the audacity” to ourselves over and over, while rocking in nonexistent rocking chairs in our own corners.
It’s like the opposite of dining and dashing, you know?
Oh, did we forget to tell you why we’re here today? We had the chance to chat with Marke Johnson of @the.made.shop, so naturally we went on a tangent about ghosting and nonexistent rocking chairs. Are you with us?
Marke shared insight and wisdom on all of the things: about partnering and working with family, generalizing versus specializing as a freelancer, the time his team worked on a famous murder mystery annnnnd a really weird ghosting story that’ll have you muttering “oh the irony” under your breath while you search for your own invisible rocking chair corner.
Oh yeah, and then he also tells us all about his time working with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and his thoughts about drawing inspiration without copying. We probably should’ve prefaced this summary with that fact, but the truth is that we went on a ghosting and rocking chair tangent, and lacked the wherewithal to bring it all back.
    ANYWAYS!
As we all know, any time family is involved in the business, things get just a little bit interesting. Are you ready to hear it all for yourself?

    Mistakes, Mishaps & Mercy

    Mistakes, Mishaps & Mercy

We are imperfect people. We will make mistakes and mishaps are inevitable, but it’s God’s mercy that sustains us.

Mercy and grace are often used interchangeably. They do not mean the same thing, but they are related and may be considered two sides of the same coin of salvation. When God saves a person, He extends both mercy and grace.

Mercy is forgiving the sinner and withholding the punishment that is justly deserved. Grace is heaping undeserved blessings upon the sinner.  www.BibleDeliverance.org
