Host Adam Burke jumped back on the airwaves with a lot to say about baseball. He started with a big announcement and then covered the state of offense in MLB coming out of the weekend and then took a look at some Trade Deadline betting angles and considerations. He also projected out where some of the available players might go, especially those that are likely to have a huge impact.

For the rest of the show, Adam talked about recent line moves, what to watch for in the betting markets with the Trade Deadline and the never-ending news cycle, and then previewed several series for this week, including Braves vs. Mets, Blue Jays vs. Red Sox, Dodgers vs. Giants, and A’s vs. Padres.

He started Beyond the Box Score with thoughts on Braves vs. Nationals, Rays vs. Red Sox, Tigers vs. Angels, Dodgers vs. Rockies, Blue Jays vs. Royals, Indians vs. Astros, and Cubs vs. Cardinals. Then it was all about the Trade Deadline, as Adam discussed most of the trades that took place and talked about how they will impact the teams and how he will look to use them to his betting advantage.

A recap of this week’s betting odds in the Down the Lines segment gave way to two picks for tonight. Finally, a preview of the weekend ahead, as Adam discussed Brewers vs. Cubs, Red Sox vs. Yankees, Reds vs. Braves, and Nationals vs. Diamondbacks.

Usually we start with a Monday Mailbag segment, but with no questions for this week, he went right on into the Beyond the Box Score segment to look at Dodgers vs. Nationals, Yankees vs. Red Sox, Giants vs. Padres, and Brewers vs. Cubs. He touched on some Trade Deadline stuff and then gave an update on batting stats vs. pitch types to find some good information for you to use in your daily handicapping.

Today’s top pick actually preceded the Down the Lines segment because it was relative to some of those stats. A recap of the betting odds from Friday through today gave way to a preview of the week ahead, as we really have some good series on the docket this week. Braves vs. Nationals, Astros vs. Indians, Twins vs. Marlins, Rays vs. Red Sox, and Cubs vs. Cardinals were under the spotlight to wrap up the show.
