    #161: Moped'ed For A Recession

This week, Noah’s back from an impromptu trip to New Haven where he learned that mopeds are in fact the only mode of transportation in Hell; Matty scratches his macro economics and mailbag itches with the same stroke and tees up a great question about how a recession could/will/is affecting decisions and philosophy behind the scenes at @BissellBrothers; AND so much more, available for downloadable ear-ticklin’ NOW, wherever podcasts are found!️

    Episode 29 - Rad Motorscooters Part 1 - Why?

    Episode 29 - Rad Motorscooters Part 1 - Why?

The traditional gas powered scooter is a vehicle with roots going back to the world wars, but they remain something of a red herring in today’s society.  In a nation obsessed with gasoline powered transportation, they have somehow been relegated to a side-note among popular culture; an oddity mentioned as an aside.
And yet, the format and design of the scooter offers its drivers unique advantages over other forms of ride.  Not only are they unparalleled for efficiency, but they also offer practicalities found among no other form of its class.
Moreover, the experience of riding such a vehicle offers a unique perspective on the structural issues of one’s environment and the society in which we exist.  By choosing to extract ourselves from the sheltered bubbles of steel and glass we live within, we can experience surprising joys and curious moments.
In this episode we explore the many reasons for choosing to try the scooter, and we address the issues that might arise.  With years of real-world experience to draw upon, my aim is to present an honest and sober perspective on an option I think too few people consider.

One on One with David Ramsey

One on One with David Ramsey
You know you're a smooth operator when you serenade a cop with a song calling her a “white skinny bitch” and instead of roughing you up and hauling you off to jail, she actually falls in love with you. But that’s just how Anton Briggs, the guitar-playing, drug dealing confidential informant on Dexter, rolls. Playing Briggs on the hit show is David Ramsey, a man so cool that he openly admits to owning a moped, which he used to drive around the streets of LA. Ramsey recently talked to us about the new season of Dexter, his affinity for “charactery” roles and the love scene with Kerry Washington he can’t show his wife.
