After 44 years with the ARRL, beginning as an intern in 1972 at the American Radio Relay League, David Sumner, K1ZZ, retired, last year, as CEO and General Manager.  In this episode of QSO Today, Dave shares his ham radio story from its early beginnings, his favorite operating practices, and his reflections on his years at League Headquarters.

(August 15, 2017) Dr J is a guest on Phyllis Schlafly's Eagles, where she discussed the sexual revolution's attack on the family with interviewer Cherilyn Eagar.

(August 10, 2017) Dr J is speaking from Alliance Defending Freedom's Areté Academy. The program is geared toward undergrads and fosters education about marriage, family, law, and religious liberty.

(August 3, 2017) Dr J is interviewed by Greg Corombos on Dateline: Washington, Radio America's nationally syndicated news magazine. They're discussing conservative retreat on a lot of historically core cultural issues related to the onward march of the sexual revolution.

Sputnik was the catalyst that spurred many to enter electronics, engineering, and amateur radio.  Rob Brownstein, K6RB, was inspired to find a ham across the street to build his first crystal set for a science fair project leading to a lifetime as a ham radio operator. Rob is a co-founder of CWOPS and its on-line CW training academy helping hundreds of hams a year become better CW operators.  K6RB shares his ham radio story with Eric, 4Z1UG, in this QSO today.

(July 17, 2017) Dr J is Wendy's guest once again on Relevant Radio's On Call with Wendy Wiese to discuss cultural views on sex. Among other topics, they're going to touch on an article in Teen Vogue whose content is fairly explicit (though the show discussion remains delicate about it).

(July 14, 2017) Dr J is Bre Payton's guest on One America News Network's Tipping Point with Liz Wheeler. They're discussing transgenderism in children and the cultural pressures to rush to hormone therapy and even surgery on very young people even as more and more information is coming out that this often doesn't address the underlying issues.

Dave LeDuc, N1IX, like many of my guests got his ham radio start as a teenager in the sixties.  His love for CW and chasing DX has not diminished over the years.  His new passion is running QRP and winning contests.  Dave shares his ham radio story and offers some advice for QRP success in this episode of QSO Today.
