'Tis the season and it's time to revisit a Christmas classic!  Gilbert and Lee test The Muppet Christmas Carol in the Scrappy Doo Lab to see if it withstands the principle or if it's just a humbug.

On this episode, Steve Swanson formerly of The Muppetcast and J.D. Hansel of Muppet Hub Podcasts join me to look at the classic film "The Muppet Christmas Carol", an important film in the Muppet library that came out shortly after Jim Henson's death that features Kermit, Gonzo, and the gang alongside Michael Caine accompanied by a heartwarming soundtrack for a re-telling of the Charles Dickens classic novel.

In this episode of Tales of the Cantina, Albert reflects on the “Dark Times” of Star Wars, the period of time between 1984 and 1991. Just how good do we have it now compared to then? Listen in and hear for yourself!

Spencer Wilding helped bring Darth Vader to life for Rogue One ... and we talk to him LIVE!

So excited to talk with James V Hart this week!  James is the screenwriter of one of my all-time favorite movies, "Hook"!  He also wrote "Muppet Treasure Island" along with other great films like "Bram Stoker's Dracula", "Contact", and "August Rush".  And he was the creator of the show "Crossbones" for NBC a couple years back.

We go deep on "Hook" in this talk and get the real background of how the film came to be made.  There's a lot of incorrect information on the net and we set straight here.  We dig into the difficulty of casting Kermit the Frog in an appropriate role in "Muppet Treasure Island".  And we talk about how NBC destroyed "Crossbones" and turned into a totally different show than James sold them.
