Episode 259: When is A Nap A Sleep

Episode 259: When is A Nap A Sleep

The Geeks sleep in late before rousing to blabber on and on about Falcon & Winter Solider, Episode 5. Plus, we refuse to snooze on the new Shang-Chi trailer, grab a reverse forty-winks on Godzilla vs King Kong, and anti-siesta about the Sony / Disney Agreement and Netflix Marvel characters moving over to the MCU. Stop hibernating and get in here! Let's go!

    Do you believe in Magik?

This week’s episode is all about Illyana Rasputin, Sorcerer Supreme of Limbo . . . and our hearts. (It’s also maybe a little about the attempted coup that occurred during the certification of the 2020 US election results, but shh.) We hope it makes you feel happy like an old-time movie!

The X(ceptionally Up And Down) Men (Part 2) - Days Of Future Past To New Mutants

The X(ceptionally Up And Down) Men (Part 2) - Days Of Future Past To New Mutants

In this episode of Nick Nack Goes To The Movies, we are back for the conclusion of our X-Men live action film franchise episode.  Finally, I can tell you about my New Mutants reaction, but before we get to that, we got to kick things of with Days of Future Past...The Rogue Cut because you know how we do here as movie watching experts as I know you all are if you are listening to this podcast.  So let us remember the glory of Fassbender, Reynolds, Lawrence, McAvoy, Stewart, McKellen, Jackman, and so many more who took part in this 13 movie 20 year franchise.  And let us try really hard to forget that Dark Phoenix exists.  I will also not leave y'all without not only a list of definitive rankings of best and worst, but my attempt to give you the best chronological way to view all these films, and it is a doozy, but I think it makes sense.

So what are my fun call to action parts of this podcast for social?  If you like Dark Phoenix, tell me why, I am super curious if anyone can change my mind here?  And a more for everyone prompt, what is your favorite X-Men movie and why?  Let us know at either @NickNackMovies on Instagram or @NickNack_IC on Twitter and you could get a shoutout on next weeks episode.  And remember, if you are listening on Apple Podcasts, this movie franchise is packed with starts, and you should make the reviews filled with 5 stars too.

The Reviews Are In - September 1, 2020
This week we talk about Chadwick Boseman, but that's the saddest thing on the show. We have FIVE positive reviews and a TON of news on some upcoming movies that you will actually want to see. Well, most of them. One of them looks disappointing and it's the one people have heard the most about. Regardless, can you really pass up reviews of Bill & Ted (no, not that one) 3, Man of Tomorrow, Angel Heart, Johnny Handsome and (FINALLY) the New Mutants?
