How long will the battle over the border last between Texas and the federal government?
The fight continues between the state of Texas and the federal government over the border. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) said the state will keep using razor wire along the border, even if the federal government keeps cutting it down. This goes against a ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court.
How has the winter weather affected food supplies?
It's been wild the last few days with the weather in North Texas. Last week, there were days when the temperature dropped below freezing. Weather can impact everyone, but it's especially tough for the homeless and for other people who just don't get enough to eat daily. Jeff Smith joined Monday's Ask the Expert. He is the senior manager of communications at North Texas Food Bank.

It's tough to start thinking about heading out of town for Thanksgiving or Christmas, but Thanksgiving is less than two months away, and Christmas is less than three months away. When will gas prices drop?
It's something that affects just about everyone, especially those of us that don't drive a Tesla or other electric cars.
We are still paying around $3.50 a gallon for gasoline around North Texas. A Shell station in Uptown Dallas even had a price listed at $4.60 per gallon Wednesday.
So when will gas prices drop again? On Thursday, Daniel Armbruster from AAA Texas joined Ask the Expert.
