Did you know there are 6 different types of dementia? And, you have to treat them all a little bit differently? Two vocabulary words you will want to add to your repertoire are sundowning and masking. You will learn this jargon and what you need to know about it. You will also learn about doctors and medication options. The conversation switches gears to the caregiver and provides much-needed resources and processes. You will even learn how to approach your loved one with a dementia diagnosis. Make sure you listen until the end and Wendy will give her biggest tip on how to really love and care for your loved one with dementia.
