    Sambar

    Sambar

Let's talk about sambar. It's a piping hot dish from South Indian. We'll talk about its history and how it changes depending on when and where it is made. I'll also give you an aunty-approved sambar recipe using ingredients you can easily find in North America.

For a full recipe see the show notes at this link: https://cooklikeanaunty.com/sambar/

X-15 the Hypersonic Aircraft part of the Cold War Space Race

X-15 the Hypersonic Aircraft part of the Cold War Space Race

The North American X-15 was an experimental Air Force and NASA Hypersonic Rocket powered aircraft that was used to investigate materials, aerodynamic design, and control systems associated with high altitude boost and reentry.  Launched from an NB-52 mothership the X-15 would engage its rocket motor and perform what was then termed a space leap: leave the atmosphere, enter the fringes of outer space and perform a re-entry. Over 50 years later, the X-15 still holds the speed record as the fastest man powered aircraft: Mach 6.72

F-107A Ultra Sabre - Was it too advanced for its time?

The first 100 people to download Endel  https://app.adjust.com/b8wxub6?campai...  will get a free week of audio experiences!

The F-107 Ultra Sabre was also known as the "maneater" given its unusual location of the air intakes above the canopy.  The aircraft was North American Aviation's entry into the tactical fighter bomber competition of the mid 1950's that lost out to Republic's F-105 Thunderchief.  In this video we will explore the advanced (for its time) features of the F-107 and why it proved to be the Last Sabre.
