    60. The Casual Catch Up - Matchweek 5

Matchweek 5 in the Premier League saw Brighton end Manchester United's unbeaten home run (unsurprisingly to most of the football world), Arsenal claim their first win at Goodison Park since 2017, and Aston Villa and Tottenham leave it late to claim victories against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United respectively! Join us as we dissect some of last weekend's games before giving our predictions for the next round of Premier League fixtures! We also give our opinion on our favourite North London Derby memories and goals, before debating which striker was better: Suarez or Aguero?

Episode 113 - It's Like Rooting For Your Ex

Your Sports Lordz return with a new episode being recorded in three different cities! This week, we lead off discussing breakdancing as a new Olympic Sport as well as time travel where we put the question to you as well dear listener. We then shift our attention to college football. We discuss how Covid is dominating the season, the Tide and Gators set to meet in the super spreader event known as the SEC Championship game, the Fighting Irish with Ian Book at the helm keep rolling, and we look ahead at the Playoff and who might be in. Then we switch to the NFL and talk about the Jets pulling a “Jets” then firing Gregg Williams, NFL team names and how we should rename everyone, the Giants being playoff bound (for the moment) as they lead the NFC Least, the loser Falcons losing to Taysom Hill again, and how Covid is also dominating the pros. Then we wrap up the show by talking some baseball and how Rob Manfred is blowing it, a discussion of 90s steroids, and a tiny bit of soccer talk as Tottenham wins the North London Derby and Heung Min-Son is the player everyone should know and love. Also be sure to follow good friend of the show and multiple time guest, Jamaal Sedayao @jamaalcomedyandpolitics on Instagram to catch some very funny videos, many featuring our own Kevin Cobbs. Also remember not to travel home this holiday season, keep wearing masks and washing hands as the pandemic is still killing us. Stay safe, stay alive, and be good to each other!

Today’s episode is brought to you by breakdancing. A new Olympic sport that the ancient Greeks always wanted to be part of the Olympic Games.

07/17/20 - "Rumor Mill is piling up. It's Summer. You know the vibes!"

The Wankers are back at it again via Skype! Expect this to be the trend this Summer while Andrea is out in the USA wilderness! We start things off with the wild crazy transfer rumors and a sprinkle of hot goss. Leagues around Europe are just about done, promotions/relegation battles are underway, Spurs won the North London Derby, This Summer pre(post?) season is almost over. On our side of the pond we got #MLSisBack Tournament steadily going, NWSL Challenge up going in to Knockout rounds. Stay safe out there FKWs and remember you've got subs if you need 'em!

07/09/20 - "#MLSisBack Tournament is the most boomer advertising I've ever seen"

07/09/20 - "#MLSisBack Tournament is the most boomer advertising I've ever seen"

The Wankers connect via skype to discuss Liverpool winning the league and how horrible the next 100 years are about to be for every other footy fan, as well as transfer rumors, the upcoming North London Derby, the #MLSisBack Tournament and the continuing NWSL tournament amidst the spread of COVID-19. Stay safe out there FKWs and remember you've got subs if you need 'em!

The Long, Long Distance Red Card Extravaganza

The Long, Long Distance Red Card Extravaganza

It's longer, it's crappier, it's drunker.  Thanks to a work trip and three red cards in week 4, Kelly and Gordon get a little talkative this week, in a sub-par quality way.  Hey, it's hard not being in the same room!  Salah's love for the post, Pukki's train repairs, the annoying Watford habit, and much more are discussed as we come to grip with the fact that there are no games this weekend!  Shout out to our Palace contingency for the Rumchata suggestion, I don't think we would have finished the pod with three fireball shots.

12/5/18 - Sean Swift x FKW "I'm going to think about that Sebastian Blanco goal on my wedding night"

12/5/18 - Sean Swift x FKW "I'm going to think about that Sebastian Blanco goal on my wedding night"

Just when you thought Tottenham Hotspur fans around the world could rejoice in defeating Chelsea and Inter, within mere days, the North London Derby comes around to deflate tater tots everywhere. The Full Kit Wankers had a little Derby of their own, with first ever repeat guest, the most Gooner of goons, Sean Swift rubbing salt in our fresh wounds. Is Pogba (like Mourinho says), a virus? Is Alexis Sanchez ok? What is it about Lyon that throws Pep's Manchester City off? Are man buns to blame for lack of success? All of these pressing questions answered, as the Wankers and Sean dive deep into the seedy underbelly of Champions League Matchday 5, Europa League, the Prem, Bundesliga and La Liga. Listen to a once favorite segment: "Coach Watch 2018" depress into, "We Have a Coach and Things are Still Bleak for US Soccer". Gregg, (with two Gs) Berhalter has been named US Coach, and we haven't been this excited since Wondolowski missed that goal in 2014. MLS Cup playoffs are giving Andrea something to dream about, with the Wankers rooting hard for Saverese's scrappy Timbers side. Sunday derbies are thoroughly covered, as the Wankers weigh in on whether you have to be geographically adjacent to the team you root for. And as always, you've got subs, if you need 'em.

Spurs secure 3rd, Arsenal get first away points, and TJ visits Northern Ireland

Crossing the Thames is a podcast based on the rivalry between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal (the only two worthy North London teams). The hosts, TJ Fittis and Dan Ericson cover the teams in depth each week and take many pops at each other. Yes, we're American. Don't fault us for that - we still love the game. If you're a Spurs or Gunners fan, this is the podcast for you. In this podcast, May 13th, 2018 we discuss the last games of the season, how TJ managed to miss Wenger’s last game at the Emirates despite being in the UK, and whether Dan looks more like a fat Spanish waiter, or Jonjo Shelvey. Oh, and we also discuss the last few games for both Tottenham and Arsenal. Are You Lillywhite or Red? Where do you stand?

Dan rants about “Spurs-y”, Gunners lose twice, and we invite a guest Madrid fan on the pod

If you're a Spurs or Gunners fan, this is the podcast for you. In this podcast, April 29th, 2018 Dan goes on a rant about the word “Spurs-y”, we talk about how Raspberries should never be used in brewing beer, and we have a special guest Real Madrid and Crossing The Tems superfan, Brandon Ericson. Are You Lillywhite or Red? Where do you stand?

After 9 episodes we finally screwed up the recording of this podcast. So the fact that you can even listen is all thanks to Zuckerburg and his fb live which is probably still better than our normal sound quality. Sorry. Are You Lillywhite or Red? Where do you stand?
