Ep 62. Like Samuel, Each of Us Has A Destiny to Fulfill on Earth

Ep 62. Like Samuel, Each of Us Has A Destiny to Fulfill on Earth

Samuel dies this day in Jewish history, so we examine his miracle conception, unlikely birth, and extraordinary life. What about all the babies who never are born because they die in an abortion? We will never know the destiny and contribution to this world of millions and millions of people. Each one counts, and so we share an essay from the Meaningful Life Center on this week's Torah portion, Bamidbar in the book of Numbers where HaShem orders various censuses of his children because each one counts. We take a look at the abortion clock that records in real time the number of abortions taking place in the US and around the world. The overwhelming tragedy inferred from these huge and unrelenting numbers disturbs us, so we turn to Rabbi Nachman's meditation on the 43rd day of the Omer count. Next, we use Power Point slide $53, Jewish Abortion is Epidemic, and close the episode sharing a positive vision of renewed dependence on God and faith in His Providence as we carry our life affirming message to those who still live in doubt and fear. Streamed  5/22/20.

    Ep 61. Adoption Saves Lives!

    Ep 61. Adoption Saves Lives!

The holiday of Shavuos is when Jews celebrate the anniversary of receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai.  To prepare for this holy day, we follow up on a suggestion from yesterday's chat to highlight the miracle of life, given by the Almighty Creator who gave us the holy book of life, the Torah. Also, from yesterday's show, a story we shared about the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) providing 1000 free abortions last year. If the Israeli government only offers killing Jewish children as the solution to unplanned pregnancy, we need to provide outreach for adoption and pregnancy care to these parents.

Adoption is life saving, and needs to be offered immediately to vulnerable parents, whether they are IDF soldiers or financially distressed couples or homeless women. We share a heartwarming story about a woman dying of cancer whose twin sons, whom she had placed for adoption as infants, reunite with her at her bedside. The Jewish community has two long established adoption agencies, Embrace a Jewish Child and the Jewish Children's Adoption Network. Also, the Jewish Pro-Life Foundation maintains a list of couples who have reached out to us looking to adopt Jewish infants. We pray to reach abortion minded Jewish women and to save their children from a painful, unnecessary death - and save their Mothers from a broken heart. When one parent rejects adoption and insists on abortion, we can still encourage the other parent to intercede and offer adoption in the hope that it will be accepted. We quote Anne Frank who wrote "Where there is hope there is life. It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again."

We study Power Point slide # 5 Sanctity of Human Life In Judaism, slide # 103 Why Save Jewish Lives?, and slide #105 Jewish Adoption. We close the show with Rabbi Nachman's meditation on the 42nd day of the Omer count. Recorded 5/21/20.

Ep 50. Judaism Prohibits Child Sacrifice

Ep 50. Judaism Prohibits Child Sacrifice

In this episode, we examine the sanctity of human life in Judaism derived from the Noahide Laws, and the prohibition against child sacrifice that was formulated in Genesis 9:6-7. We begin by studying Power Point slide #5 Sanctity of Human Life In Judaism, slide #6 Abortion Is Prohibited In Judaism, and slide #9 Prohibitions Against Child Sacrifice. Next, we share our pro-life Torah Emor blog because the portion Emor includes a stern warning against taking innocent human life. We connect this biblical directive with the defiance of it in the modern practice of abortion, which always destroys innocent life. We conclude the episode with an uplifting meditation on the 29th day of the Omer count provided by Rabbi Shlomo Nachman. Aired 5/8/20.

Ep 33. Planned Parenthood Is A Favorite Charity Among Jews Who Don’t Know That Planned Parenthood Protects Sex Traffickers.

In this episode, we investigate the diabolical connections between the abortion industry and sex trafficking. We turn to Jaco Booyens, whose sister was trafficked, which compelled him to uncover the evils of sex trafficking. We met Jaco in June 2019 when we tabled at the Young Jewish Leadership Summit in Washington DC. Jaco explains that sex traffickers financially support and keep Planned Parenthood in business because every one of the millions of trafficked woman has an average of two abortions. Planned Parenthood conspires with traffickers to hide this abuse of girls and avoid criminal prosecution. Many Jews support Planned Parenthood through financial contributions and volunteer work. We choose to believe that these Jews are uninformed of the criminal practices of the abortion corporation, and attempt to educate them. We study Power Point slide #86 Planned Parenthood: A Favorite Charity. We close with a meditation on the Omer count for day 12. Aired 4/21/20.

Ep 32. The Biblical Foundations Of Respect for Life In The Womb. Jewish Law Informed By Scientific Advancement. Approaching Unplanned Pregnancy With Complete Faith In God

Ep 32. The Biblical Foundations Of Respect for Life In The Womb. Jewish Law Informed By Scientific Advancement. Approaching Unplanned Pregnancy With Complete Faith In God

We begin this episode by to laying a biblical foundation of respect for life in the womb. We study our Power Point slide # 10 What Do The Prophets Say?, and slide #11 What Do The Scriptures Say?,  We encourage Jews today to embrace these prophetic and wise teachings. Jewish abortion advocates continue to depend on outdated rabbinical opinions that undervalue life in the womb, rather than follow Jewish legal precedent for updating rabbinical opinion with scientific discovery that proves the life and humanity of each unborn child. We encourage Jews to  approach unplanned pregnancy with faith in God's providence rather than with fear and uncertainty, and close with a meditation on the Omer count day 11. Aired 4/20/20.

Ep 29. The Need For Jews To Provide Life Affirming Outreach To Jewish Mothers, Fathers And Their Unborn Children

Ep 29. The Need For Jews To Provide Life Affirming Outreach To Jewish Mothers, Fathers And Their Unborn Children

Our Christian friends have a long tradition of providing church based practical and moral support to mothers, fathers, and their unborn children. Torah commands us to provide help to the widow and orphan. Following this principle, we need to establish similar programs in our synagogues and in our communities that offer practical and moral support to Jewish mothers, fathers and their unborn children. We look at two articles that offer examples of this type of outreach. The first contends that when Roe v Wade is overturned, pro-life advocates will need to ramp up outreach efforts, so it is vitally. important to have these systems in place now. The second article highlights Good Council Homes, a church based haven for homeless pregnant women in NYC. Good Council Homes accommodates Jewish clients with Jewish supportive services. We follow these news stories with the Omer Count for day 14, with emphasis on showing the unborn child compassion and loving kindness by supporting the life of that child. We close the episode by studying Power Point slide #103 Why Save Jewish Lives. Aired 4/23/20.

Ep 22. The Rebbe's View Of Abortion. Pro-Life Torah Shemini. Counting The Omer

We begin this episode by examining Power Point slide #24 What Does Rabbi Schneerson Say? The Rebbe advises an expectant mother to avoid abortion because it is the deliberate murder of a defenseless being. We share our pro-life commentary on this week's Torah portion, Shemini, which warns against the hazards that result from acting on self will that goes beyond the will of the Almighty. We find tragic consequences of this in virtuous and compassionate Jewish abortion advocates who believe they are helping women by violating Torah's prohibition of killing innocent unborn human life. We close the episode with our meditation on the Omer count. Aired 4/17/20.

Ep 20. Moral Concerns About Vaccine Research Using Embryonic Stem Cells

The drive to design a COVID-19 vaccine calls attention to the moral concerns about vaccine research using embryonic stem cells, which destroy a human life in the embryonic stage of development. We share two stories about Pluristem Therapeutics, an Israeli biotech company working to produce a vaccine using placental cells, an ethical alternative to embryonic stem cells.
