Gerade erleben wir viel Unruhe in der Welt. Wir sprechen von unsicheren Zeiten, Kriege werden in unserer Nähe ausgefochten.
Aber es gibt die ununterbrochene Verfolgung von Menschen über diese Brandherde hinaus. Wir sprechen in DENKmal heute über die Verfolgung, Misshandlung und Überwachung von rund 360 Millionen Christen, die um ihre Sicherheit bangen, nur weil sie an Jesus glauben.

Nehemiah Part 2: Preparing For Favor (Nehemiah 2:1-8)
God opens doors at the right time. As we start Chapter 2 of Nehemiah, he has been praying for four months. What has he been praying for? - that he would be able to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild his home. When the king Nehemiah is serving asks him what is troubling him, Nehemiah is afraid but answers truthfully. The door to return is opening, and the king swings it wide open by not only giving Nehemiah permission to go home, but also supplying the mission! Like Nehemiah, God is with us when we step out in obedient faith! As we pray, we are also wise to plan and prepare, so that when God opens the door we are ready to walk through it. Never underestimate the power of God's grace in our lives as we pray, plan, prepare, and act in faith.
Opening doors with Patrick Driscoll- VCs for the LGBTQ+ community
In this episode, we talk with a famous figure in the ecosystem of LGBTQ+ Tech industry.
Patrick Driscoll started his career in international development working with entrepreneurs in Senegal for over 2 years, where homosexuality is illegal. He became there the diversity coordinator and found meaning underrepresented groups, including the LGBTQ+ community.
Now he is the General Partner of "Chasing Rainbows" - a VC (Venture Capital) fund that only invests in LGBTQ+ founders.
The episode delves into the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs, such as discrimination and the need to remain closeted while raising capital. Patrick emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive environment where individuals can feel safe and supported in expressing their identities.
Patrick highlights how apps like Grindr and platforms like NGLCC (National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce) play a significant role in connecting LGBTQ+ individuals, fostering support, and facilitating business opportunities.
