Rooted in Christ: Glory (Colossians 3:1-4)

Rooted in Christ: Glory (Colossians 3:1-4)

We are naturally inclined and oriented to this world and the things in it. But they can't bear the weight of glory. We need a reorientation of our glory (our identity, our honor, our pursuit, our satisfaction) to that which is actually glorious. Being rooted in Christ reorients our glory. The Apostle Paul teaches us to reorient our glory by dwelling on our past, our present, and our future in Christ.

Mark McGrath on the OODA Loop, VUCA, the Philosophy of John Boyd, and Bruce Lee

Mark McGrath on the OODA Loop, VUCA, the Philosophy of John Boyd, and Bruce Lee

This week on Acta Non Verba, Mark McGrath discuses the importance of adaptability, decision-making, and embracing change in both life and business. Join me and Mark as he shares his insights on theories such as John Boyd's OODA loop and VUCA, emphasizing the need to constantly update our cognitive software to align with reality. He also discusses the role of trauma in shaping a person's orientation and the significance of prioritizing people, ideas, and things in organizations.

Mark McGrath is an adaptive strategy teacher and podcast co-host who helps leaders and teams thrive in complex and uncertain environments. He is the Chief Learning Officer at AGLX, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business that provides tools and methods for confident and agile decision-making and action (www.aglx.com).

Mark is the co-host of the podcast "No Way Out," which advances and honors the legacy of Colonel John Boyd, the creator of the OODA loop, a framework for rapid and effective adaptation. He teaches and applies Boyd's theories to business and entrepreneurship, leadership development, and coaching. He draws on his cross-functional experience and education in strategic planning, process improvement, capital markets, economics, and the US Marine Corps, where he served as an officer for six years. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Marquette University and a master's degree in economics from the University of Detroit-Mercy. He speaks Spanish and holds multiple professional certifications. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.

Season 3 Episode 11 - Shining the harsh light of the scientific method on the world of advertising and marketing agencies with Special Guest Mark Razzell

Season 3 Episode 11 - Shining the harsh light of the scientific method on the world of advertising and marketing agencies with Special Guest Mark Razzell

We have our first returning guest to the show.

Mark Razzell was our first-ever guest in Episode 11 back in October 2020 when he was Director of Data and Insight at Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne, Australia.

And we’ve got him back because he has just launched a new venture called Critical Truth which is designed to shine the harsh light of the scientific method on the world of advertising and marketing agencies.

Dylan Mulcrazy & The Transgenderism Lie

Dylan Mulcrazy & The Transgenderism Lie

On this episode, I will be dispelling cultural lie 7487285829052005 -- that supporting transgenderism is good and righteous. It is not. At all. These people (in some cases, children) are being MAIMED in doctor's offices, injected with poisonous doses of hormones (that are doing irreparable damage), and then detransitioning (attempting to revert back to their biological genders) -- oftentimes to no avail.

Supporting people's self-destruction is not caring, compassionate, or loving.

These people need real love, honesty, and mental health help to learn how to appreciate themselves for who they truly are.

    Wake up.

    Happy 2023!

Can't believe Kiasu Design Life has sustained through the year! 🙌🏼 🙌🏽

In Day 6, we recalled our times as new-joiners in our jobs and shared our wholesome and horror stories. You may realise that we sound a lot smoother this episode, that's because we finally tried recording together in person! It definitely delight us a lot and we hope you feel the same. Please enjoy this (hopefully) higher quality episode, along with Hsuan's very masculine, nasal voice as she tries to recover from the cold lol.
