An Invitation & An Invoice: Is Charging Wedding Guests OK?

An Invitation & An Invoice: Is Charging Wedding Guests OK?

The average Australian wedding now costs a whopping $36,000, and while for many people that amount of money is simply unobtainable, it seems more and more couples are finding new ways of raising extra cash to have the the big day of their dreams.

One of those methods is an increasing trend for brides and grooms to ask friends and family to chip in for the event, to cover everything from the meal, to extravagant extras like fireworks and luxury honeymoons, but is that ok?

The Quicky speaks to a wedding expert, and a couple of married women to find out whether this is fair game, or if it's a very rude way of getting other people to fund a ridiculously over the top wedding that you really can't afford.

Effectv hosted a conversation to discuss sustainable solutions for how organizations can genuinely show Pride and support the LGBTQ+ community all year long.

    You'll Hear From:

    1. Paul Martecchini, VP, Brand Marketing, Comcast Advertising

In Focus Special Edition: Changing the AAPI Narrative

In Focus Special Edition: Changing the AAPI Narrative

    Overview:

May is Asian Pacific Heritage month -- a celebration of the Asian and Pacific Islander community in the United States. Now, it’s more critical than ever for us to stand up for and in solidarity with the AAPI community amid the rise of anti-Asian racism and attacks throughout the country.

Companies and brands have been quick to show solidarity with the AAPI community, announcing various initiatives during the month, however, it’s also important for them to consistently advocate for authentic media representation, fight biases and tell the unique stories that explore the diverse makeup of the AAPI community.

Comcast Advertising invites you to register for our upcoming webcast to explore the Asian identity in various media endeavors and see how companies can utilize their unique positions and brands to help unbundle/reshape the misleading portraits of the AAPI community.

Nate and Mitch are Getting Tattoos

Nate and Mitch are Getting Tattoos

Nate and Mitch are Friends Episode 46!

Thank you for taking the time to hear two friends talk for an extended period of time and also for reading this overview.

On today's episode, Nate and Mitch discuss some tasty brews that Nate is sippin' on. Nate has never fully watched a fast and furious movie. Sylvester Stallone, his movies, and a possible lost son(?) or at the very least look-a-like get brought up based on the more distinct features of him. Tommy Pickles quotes and inventiveness gets talked about for a total of probably 3 seconds which leads into Nate's new tattoo and Mitch thinking about maybe starting to think about getting a new one. Novelty vehicles in the form of Oscar Meyer mobile and the Planter's peanut mobile get discussed. Nate tells an extremely dumb and over complex joke. For the majority of the rest of the ep, the boys talk about poop, pee, and puke. Normal every day talk for them. Things end with an appreciation for Stone Cold Steve Austin and his IPA.

Again, thank you for listening. It's much appreciated! Peace and love to you all!
