A New Voice | Pastor Ben Feldott | Cape Cod Church

A New Voice | Pastor Ben Feldott | Cape Cod Church

What would a confident life look like for you? A bit less anxiousness? A new way of talking? Some swagger or maybe just a calm smile?

Confidence doesn’t come in just one size, but we all long for a bit of it. The central chapter of what some call Paul’s most significant book, Romans 8, is the story of the secret life of confident people. This is not an exercise in cheerleading, and it’s no idle promise. Instead, it grabs the core of who we are and where we struggle and speaks true words to our souls.

In our new Sunday message series, we uncover what lies in the secret life of confident people.

How Insecurity Affects Your Worship Leading w/ NewSpring Worship

How to Overcome Feelings of Insecurity | with Alena Chapman, Soul Manifesto

How to Overcome Feelings of Insecurity

Here’s Everything You Need to Start Powerfully Manifesting NOW!

Do you want to learn how to overcome feelings of insecurity and neediness? Alena Chapman, founder of Soul Manifesto, explains why so many of us constantly feel inadequate because of our inner critic. The roots of these feelings lie in our childhood, she says. Watch this video to know how you can overcome your feelings of insecurity in three simple steps, and silence that inner critic and feel great about yourself.

    Highlights
    • Many of us feel as though we don’t deserve love or friends or success. Alena Chapman urges us to keep in mind that we would not tolerate such utterances against a best friend.
    • Alena explains how to overcome feelings of insecurity by creating internal conversations that build us up instead of tearing us down. She points out that we wouldn’t tolerate anyone speaking negatively about a loved one – so why do we listen to the negative self-talk!
    • The reason we are so tough on ourselves has its roots in our childhood and in our upbringing. Feelings of neediness and insecurity actually hark back to the bonds that were formed during those years of babyhood and childhood.
    • The first step to overcoming insecurity and becoming your best soulmate is to flip the switch that makes us feel bad about ourselves. You have to ask yourself, how would your best friend defend and help you? How would they speak up for you in a given situation?
    • The second thing to do is to learn to honor yourself and to recognize your worth; the fact that you're beautiful, worthy, lovable… that you're enough! The third step is to learn to be compassionate towards yourself; to prioritize yourself and your wellbeing.

Couch Conversations by Hummingbird Journeys Ep13: Becoming the "perfect" woman? - with Cynthia Kike Ajeigbe

Are you trying to become the perfect woman?

Is there an image in your mind of what the perfect woman should be?

The quest for perfection is a burden and a form of bondage for many women. But, true perfection is as God defines, not as we might have been conditioned to perceive perfection to be.

During this week's conversation we candidly discuss issues of jealousy, imposter syndrome, insecurity, comparative positioning, and limiting mindsets which many women struggle with.

Our guest, Mrs. Cynthia Kike Ajeigbe, a certified coach, provides practical guidance on moving beyond the barriers of circumstance, culture, past experiences, and the labels of others, to recognize our worth in Christ and become the women He has called us to be. As she shares, she urges us to value ourselves as God values us and to rise with confidence into all that He has purposed.
