Luke 23:46 & Psalm 31:5 - Father, into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit

Luke 23:46 & Psalm 31:5 - Father, into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit
Sermon for Good Friday. The Scripture readings for tonight’s service are the seven last words of Christ: Luke 23:33-38; Luke 23:39-43; John 19:25-27; Mark 15:25-35; John 19:28-29; John 19:30; Luke 23:44-47.

Because Jesus committed Himself into His Father’s hands, at the end of every day, you can take up these words, “Almighty God, my heavenly Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit, for You have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God” (Ps. 31:5).

    Passover to the Lord's Supper

    Passover to the Lord's Supper
Sermon for Maundy Thursday. The Scripture readings for tonight’s service are Exodus 12:1-13 and Mark 14:12-28.

Instead of the Passover meal, you are to eat the bread, which Jesus says is His body, and you are to drink the cup, which Jesus says is His blood. And you do this as a remembrance of what Christ has done for you. Yes, there is remembrance in this meal, but it also delivers exactly what Christ promises it delivers. Jesus promises that in this little meal, you receive the forgiveness of your sins. And unlike the Passover meal, which was an annual thing, Jesus says to do this often in remembrance of Him (1 Cor. 11:25).

    John 12:12-19 & Matthew 26:1-27:66 - A Different King with a Different Glory

    John 12:12-19 & Matthew 26:1-27:66 - A Different King with a Different Glory
Sermon for Palm Sunday. The Scripture readings are John 12:12-19; Zechariah 9:9-12; Philippians 2:5-11; and Matthew 26:1-27:66.

Jesus rides into Jerusalem and is welcomed as King. But His triumphal entry isn’t like any other king. Christ comes humble and lowly, riding on a donkey. Jesus has not come to conquer kingdoms and empires. He comes to conquer sin and your death.

Episode 13: Saints of the Holy Face - part 2

Episode 13: Saints of the Holy Face - part 2
Host Annabelle Moseley continues her interview of Don Nohs, President of the Society of the Holy Face of Jesus, member of the Confraternity of the Passion and past director general of the Confraternity of the Passion International. Don speaks eloquently of the devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus and explains why although it is arguably the least known devotion, it has produced such a great number of saints. Several of those saints are discussed on this episode.

Episode 2: GOOD STUFF (GS-1): "Could Maundy Thursday Be More Important Than Easter?!?" with JC & MoJOE

In this, their debut episode, JC (John Comfort) and MoJOE (Joe McCarthy) take a deep dive into the events on Thursday evening of Holy Week, after "The Last Supper." What is Maundy Thursday? Why is it called that? Why have so few people even heard of Maundy Thursday? Even though it's so obscure, could what happened that night possibly be more important than Easter Sunday? Take a listen. Judge for yourself...
