As we look at Galatians 2:16-21 we often overlook what justification is because we assume the church knows, or that we ourselves have fully grasped it. 

What is justification? How does it enable us to live the Christian life?
Peter needed the reminder and so do we.

In Galatians 2:10-24 Paul gives his testimony not to draw attention to himself as being of use and potential to God and therefore "redeemable", but rather to highlight that the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is all of God's grace.

When we revise the gospel, we reverse the gospel. In Galatians 1:7-9 Paul lays down the plumb line for what the gospel is, and how it works.

When we have a measure of success we often feel deserved of admiration.
When we are given a position of power, we need to protect our hearts from using it to lift up ourselves and abuse others.

These are the Lessons we need to learn from the failures we see in Gideon at the end of his career as a Judge over Israel.

Are you stuck in a cycle of sin, regretful about your past, and unable to break free? Perhaps you have confused the “worldly sorrow” of regret with the “godly sorrow” that produced repentance. 

At the Cross we find the balance of  Holiness and Grace without the compromise of either, and the key to breaking the cycle of sin. 

God brings deliverance to His people through unexpected people and in unexpected ways.  In this message we look at the "left-hander" Ehud. The righteousness we have received from Christ by grace through faith is not the outward righteouness of the Pharisees, but one that is inward. It has changed who were are, our very nature, and therefore it fundamentally changes how we interact with our culture. Do we engage the culture? Do we seek to change the culture? If so, how do we as Christians live in this present world, and navigate the tensions of our culture?

What do our politics reveal about us? What did Jesus say about politics? How does the gospel alleviate the tensions that exist between believers and unbelievers? These are some of the answers we will clean from God's Word together in this episode from Mark 12:13-17.
