023 How Bad Do You Want It? Indie Powerhouse Author Jami Albright Shows Us What It Took For Her To Become a Successful Author

Would you sell your Christmas presents and plasma so you could afford to attend a writer's conference and an editor for a book you haven't published yet? My guest today, Jami Albright, did exactly that.

Jamie took a leap of faith and it paid dividends. She is now a successful indie author of Brides on the Run and The Small-Town Royalty series--fun, sexy, snarky, laugh-out-loud romantic comedies. If you don't snort with laughter, then she hasn't done her job.

Jami also shares with us how she continues her successful author career by publishing one book a year! So successful, she was able to leave her day job and become a full-time author.

How bad do you want to succeed as an author?

PAT FLYNN - Nail your Message

#130: What's the number 1 mistake people make with their online brand? It's the messaging. It's not clear who it's for, what you do, why it's important.

In this special episode, Pat Flynn joins the show to go deep on the business we're building here at Mark Savant Media. Let's face it, sometimes your spouse or BFF isn't going to give you great advice.

Bringing in someone that actually understands your problem, has a solution, and challenges you is the BEST thing for your growth. Well, I'm going to challenge you today. After you listen to the episode, DM me on Instagram your value proposition. What do you do and why is it important?

#53 Why women in business falter and how to get moving again with Lyndsie Barrie

#53 Why women in business falter and how to get moving again with Lyndsie Barrie

Hello Fempreneur! Lyndsie Barrie here! So happy to have the opportunity to share a little taste of my nerdy brain with you because helping you feel more confident and at peace in your business is my mission. Here's a little taste of what's to come in this episode...

"Women often say to me, I love that I can just message you and talk to you. Obviously I'm just a person but some people\ would search me up on the internet and think I'm a bigger deal than I am! But I'm not! I'm just a human who wants to hang out with other sweet, awesome ladies like me. And if you reach out to me, I'm more than happy to chat. So I think that's a big thing about email marketing that people don't understand - it's not just about getting their name and email address and having that automated email go to them with their free gift. No! You want to know where they are in the social media world because that's where you want to engage with them.

My third book, .COM UNITY, is about all those tips and tricks and things that have worked to grow a community of women who actually get to know each other and support each other."

A huge thank you to Vivian @realbizmoms for interviewing me! Hopefully I can introduce her to you soon in person at one of our upcoming hikes or YYC bike nights in Calgary Alberta! Go to fempreneurland.com/events to see the schedule - live and virtual events are what we do here in FempreneurLand!!!

I hope to see you soon on Instagram @yycfempreneurs!

#45 Turn Your Life Lessons into Marketing Gold with Lyndsie Barrie

#45 Turn Your Life Lessons into Marketing Gold with Lyndsie Barrie

In this episode, you'll get a little taste of Fempreneur Marketing School, the 6 week course I developed to help women share their talents with more of the right people on social media. Women often struggle with feeling confident and clear when it comes to their business and that's why Fempreneur Marketing School is so effective - it is an incubator/safe place for women to practice sharing their important message and receive helpful feedback from like-minded ladies.

This episode is a recording of Session 4, Storytelling. If you're still struggling with what stories to share and how to share them so you can attract more of the right people on social media, this episode is going to help you feel less tongue-tied and more confident! Introducing my favourite marketing tool...

    THE 4 TYPES OF POSTS:

    1. Just for fun - share what you love, why you're grateful or anything hilarious, heartwarming and positive (can be a tear-jerker story with a happy ending!)
    2. Educate - share a little taste of what you know that will help your niche audience. Ask yourself, What challenging experiences have I been through that left me with knowledge that can help others? Share the story and the 3-5 key action steps you suggest they take.
    3. Promo Me - promote yourself. Share your why story, how you started your business and how you serve your clients. You will usually want to attach a call to action/offer in the middle and end of these stories, but not always. Sometimes you should just end it with a simple, If you think this story can help someone you care about, please share it with them!
    4. Promo others - an Instagram live interview with one of your entrepreneur friends is the best way to nail this one every time!

If we haven't met yet, my name is Lyndsie Barrie. I learned the 6 fundamentals of marketing the hard way - while writing and marketing my first book and my financial consulting business. My purpose is to help thousands of women develop viable income streams from things they love to do and turn that profit into financial stability. My six week marketing school is one of the ways I do this - check it out at fempreneurland.com/fms!

Smart, Passive and Fearless An Interview with Pat Flynn

Smart, Passive and Fearless An Interview with Pat Flynn
This is what I consider a "Lost Episode" This was recorded in Oct 2019 at VidSummit. My hard drive crash, and I thought the episode was gone forever. I recently discovered that it had actually been backed up to a different drive. I think that you are going to enjoy this episode. I found Pat, when I was narrating the Miracle Morning audiobook. Pat has a Smart Passive income website, where he shows people how to make Smart Passive income. He's an entrepreneur, speaker, a bestselling author. I think the next few titles are most important to Pat, that of father and husband. Pat talks about how he created a product, filled a need, and had great success on Kickstarter with the creation of the Switchpod. He shares how he did it from the idea phase to the test and design and the launch phase. We talk podcasting, Youtube, and living a life of inspired Action.

    Your answers äre within

    Your answers äre within

During this week of unrest and revolution, I have chosen to listen to the stories of our brothers and sisters and look at ways to support the cause of justice and equity for people of color, specifically Black people who have been oppressed for 500-hundred years. However, I still want to honor my commitment to support you as artists. So, I cut this week’s solo episode from a recent mastermind I led where I shared two pivotal exercises from Pat Flynn’s book, “Will It Fly?” that I’ve been reading. I’ve been using this time as we are sheltering-in-place to look within for guidance as I move forward in life and in business. They’ve been extremely helpful for me on my journey and I believe they can help you too, especially now as the hierarchy of our priorities evolve. In my last solo episode about fear, I referenced that it’s not about tomorrow but how you show up today. In this episode, I share how looking at where you’ve been and where you want to be can help you connect the dots to create the life you want for yourself — a life that is drawn and not traced. One of my goals is to help you to live that kind of life and I hope these exercises help shed light on how you can attain that.
