It was only a year ago the so-called “Freedom Convoy” held a three-week demonstration in Ottawa, later termed an “occupation” by politicians and police. It was a protest that started out fighting against vaccine mandates against truckers, but became a home for all kinds of grievances across the far right political spectrum. But what could have been a galvanizing event for these groups has instead become splintered and many feel it’s unlikely a similar event will ever happen again.

Matt Conway is a man who’s learned the value of cutting through the bullshit and talking straight with other men. He’s lucky enough to have a few men in his life he can trust with some of the bigger issues that might come along. Not all men are so lucky, in fact far too few have even one good friend they can have meaningful conversations with to help keep them out of their heads and focused on the things that matter like family and integrity.

Matt is a husband and father. He has a long history of success in the sales world, working for the likes of Microsoft and other multi-national corporations. He eventually left the corporate world to focus on his own sales leadership business, helping multinational companies accelerate their sales and growth.

Ottawa’s streets have been cleared of protesters and now the aftermath truly begins. With civil suits have been filed, policing costs are estimated to be millions of dollars and the government still dealing with the Emergencies Act, there is still much to be sort out. Many of the ringleaders of the protesters have been arrested and now they start their journey through the court process. Like the protests, bail hearings already held were eventful and a bit strange.

During this pandemic, with more and more freedoms being threatened and taken away, life in the free world is looking a lot like Germany in the 1920s. Of course most people aren’t willing to give up their freedoms so we're seeing more people starting to push back. When Canadian truckers were threatened with vaccine mandates to do their job, they said enough is enough and hit the road in a convoy from east to west, heading to Ottawa to make it know that they’re prepared to fight for freedom.
