Breaking Up On Valentine's Day | Story Time

Breaking Up On Valentine's Day | Story Time

This is for all the girls who were terribly disappointed on Valentine’s Day - just know you’re worth it and he’s a god damn LOSER.
I just officially ended things on Valentine's Day with the guy I was dating. I THOUGHT I would be worthy of receiving a rose petal at the very least but all I got was a shrug and a whole lot of nothing. SO, sit back, relax & listen to the terrible misfortune of another failed relationship by yours truly. Proud of myself that there are ZERO tears in this episode only giggles and feminine rage. Also, men, boys… whatever the fuck you are.. do better. And grow the fuck up, because women like me are all set. It’s pathetic. I’m in my hating men era, emotional availability is unfounded, and we are fully unhinged.
    Love you, mean it.
    xoxo

Hook - 1984: Robin Williams' Misunderstood Classic or Millennial Nostalgia?

Hook - 1984: Robin Williams' Misunderstood Classic or Millennial Nostalgia?

What if 'Hook' was recast in 1984?

Rewind your clocks and get ready to sprinkle some pixie dust as we reimagine the classic film "Hook" with a twist—it's 1984! Joined by the our friend from across the pon, Ash Hurry, complete with his British perspective and charm, we embark on a nostalgic journey through Neverland, re-casting our favorite characters with the era's brightest stars.

As we navigate through the cinematic landscape of 1984, we ponder the staying power of films that continue to resonate with us. Why do certain stories, like those of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, capture our hearts time and time again? We investigate the emotional depth and critical reception of family-oriented movies, challenging the notion that whimsy can't walk hand in hand with quality. The episode pays homage to the magic woven by the original "Hook" while exploring how the top films and Oscar winners of 1984 could have influenced its early debut.

From the enigmatic Captain Hook to the effervescent Tinkerbell, we find out who could play these iconic characters in the mid 80s! Hit play to see what we ended up with!

Episode 272: A movieless Comic Con

Episode 272: A movieless Comic Con
What happens when all the major studios pull out of comic con? nothing really, it keeps going because comic con is more then movies and television. We also learned about some major Ubisoft shakeups, kart racers are making a comeback, and Sony's Project Q leaks. Plus Barbenheimer makes for the 4th biggest box office weekend, MOVIES are in fact back! Also due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA Strikes, i have dedicated some time talking about old movies, this week we have my favorite movies made in the 1950's.

Why? Episode 241- Musician Tammy Glover on her musical "Wendy, My Darling"

Why? Episode 241- Musician Tammy Glover on her musical "Wendy, My Darling"

Tammy Glover has successful careers in multiple fields, so, it's not surprising she decided to tackle the musical genre.

But, Tammy approached it differently, finding a way to put a new twist on the Peter Pan story with the show, "Wendy, My Darling." We talked with Tammy about writing the show, putting the show on the stage and the unique-for-reasons-we-still-dont-understand idea of a project where women play key roles in the show both on stage and off.

For more information about "Wendy, My Darling," check out their website.
