    Episode 123 - The Truman Show (1:16:47)
We pop into biosphere II in the Dark-City dome from the Hunger Games to battle it out with the socialist, Jim Carrey, as we discuss his 1998 film "The Truman Show" directed by Peter Weir.

The movie is all about a utopian central-planner playing the role of a god (or a government for that matter) in the life of an unwitting subject of their hubris of control. There is plenty of philosophical meat to chew on in this one.

We get into a wordy discussion with our returning guest Mike C. who admirably filled in for our other friend, Olof the Anarcho-Viking, who had a scheduling conflict arise recently. We will be sure to have him on for a movie discussion in the near future.

Join us next week as we continue with our bold strategy and see it is pays off when we discuss
Dodgeball with one of our new friends, Tyler.

Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Rothbardian/Anarcho-Capitalist perspective.

We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter.

We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film.

The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film.

We publish at least once per week; and occasionally will do specials surrounding holidays or events (elections/olympics) and have guests.
