How Changing The Way You Do Things Can Make Life Better: The "Bowling" Approach

How Changing The Way You Do Things Can Make Life Better: The "Bowling" Approach

Do you want to live a life of "settle for" by default or accepting what happens to you, or do you want to live a life of powerful impact, using all that God has provided for you to make the best difference in your life, be an effective parent, a supportive spouse, a peace-filled warrior for God's plans for your life and the ways He has uniquely created you to make a difference in this world and the lives of others for Him?  How you are living currently may be getting by but are you repeating the negative cycles of pain, frustration, and overwhelming thoughts, feelings, and beliefs from what's happened to you?  If you'd like to break free from what is holding you back and go from surviving to thriving, overcome anxieties, mental distress, and unhelpful cycles of behavior, you may want to try the Bowling Approach as mentioned here...try something different with a supportive helper to help you live easier and more effectively and with power.

July 7 — Seek and Taste

July 7 — Seek and Taste

God’s unchanging, eternal existence and His ongoing providential care for you are questioned when you doubt Him at any point in your life. Your unbelief can hinder God’s gracious care when He intervenes in your situation.

But those who keep on sinning are against God, for every sin is done against the will of God.  And you know that he became a man so that he could take away our sins, and that there is no sin in him, no missing of God’s will at any time in any way.  So if we stay close to him, obedient to him, we won’t be sinning either; but as for those who keep on sinning, they should realize this: They sin because they have never really known him or become his. I John3:4-6 (New Living Translation)

When we stay close to God we can live a life that is pleasing to Him.

Malachi - Giving our Best - Audio

Malachi - Giving our Best - Audio
Continuing our study on the Book of Malachi we talk today about "Giving our Best" to God. The people of Malachi's day were guilty of giving their second best to God in the form of sickly and crippled animals for their yearly sacrifices. They all knew better, but it was too hard to give God their best so they thought that God would accept their second best and still hear their prayers and give them His best. Applying this message to our day, are we any different? How many times have we offered our "seconds" and our "leftovers" to God thinking that He's pleased with us? Malachi deals with this misconception straight away, and it's wise of us to learn from him... Listen in and be challenged and encouraged when we realize how much God loves us...
