OJ Simpson’s murder trial divided America.
His death from cancer at the age of 76 last week has had much the same effect.
The former NFL star was notoriously acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman. A civil jury later found him liable.
Many believe he was acquitted by a jury who were angry about racial disparities in the justice system and wider society
So what should OJ Simpson's legacy be? And how much of his trial paved the way for the debates still simmering today?
Joining Piers to discuss academic and author Marc Lamont Hill, Lawyer Alan Dershowitz part of O.J's 'Dream Team' Defence, Gloria Allred who represented the family of Nicole Brown Simpson & Jeffrey Toobin - author of ‘Run Of His Life’ on which the seminal real crime series ‘American Nightmare:‘The People v O.J. Simpson’ was based.

Ireland’s new Taoiseach Simon Harris says he belongs to a generation more familiar with Berlin and Paris than Belfast or Derry. To the Irish citizens of Belfast and Derry, it may have been a surprise but not a shock to hear the Taoiseach speak of them as if they were a strange and distant people. Or maybe they’ll be relieved he didn’t say Londonderry.
On Free State today, Joe and Dion talk about a united Ireland. Ireland is the only country with a constitutional aspiration for unity so why do the government parties find it so hard to talk about?
As Fine Gael lionise Margaret Thatcher, is it any wonder they continue to view the north in a negative way. Joe and Dion argue about the recent report into the cost of unity and if there is a significance that one of the authors of the report is the son of Garret FitzGerald.

Five Derry girls went to the Stardust nightclub. Only four came home.
How do people keep going when their lives change tragically in a moment? What is it that defines the human spirit?
On today’s Free State Joe talks about the Stardust Inquest, the resilience of people in the worst of circumstances and the quiet heroism that has been revealed. Dion and Joe talk too about Hillsborough and the fight for justice when the British establishment tried to smear them. They look at the state of the British establishment today where Brittania can only waive the rules.

What is more mind altering, a trip to Amsterdam or trying to track the lies and deception of the Tories in Britain?
On this week’s Free State, Joe has all the information on a hallucinogenic trip - maybe too much information - in Holland. The Covid Inquiry, Suella Braverman’s propaganda and the return of David Cameron tell us everything about the British establishment. Joe also can’t tell the difference between Dion and a humanoid just out of its box.

Rishi Sunak wrapped up this year's Conservative Party conference with an hour long speech in which he finally announced the long-rumoured cancellation of HS2 Manchester. He also proposed a life-ban on smoking and a replacement for A-levels, as well as waging into the culture wars asserting that 'a man is a man and a woman is a woman'.
Anoosh Chakelian is joined by Rachel Wearmouth and Zoë Grünewald, who have both been in Manchester this week. They discuss the impact of the Prime Minister's speech as well as the future trajectory of Home Secretary Suella Braverman, whose hard-hitting address was well-received by fellow conservatives in the room.
