Tapping into the power of your feminine energy

Tapping into the power of your feminine energy

This Thursday thread pulls out a theme from Tuesday's episode (S4 Ep. 55) featuring Gina Moon as I dive into the potentially "taboo" topic of pleasure and the power of embodying the feminine energy.

If the idea of "pleasure" feels taboo or triggering to you (in fact, I'm beginning to think that anything that's "taboo" is something to untether ourselves from), allow yourself to turn inward with curiosity. Why does this trigger me? Where do I feel emotion in my body when this topic arises? How do those emotions feel?  Do this with utter curiosity and as judgment-free as possible.

I also speak in this episode about how embracing my feminine power has offered me some major personal shifts in the past six months or so, and how allowing and embracing the power of extended joy and pleasure can help you make major moves toward achieving your dreams in the most easeful ways.

This is because embracing the feminine energy allows you to magnetize what is a match, so it comes TO you, instead of working so hard FOR it. (Choose and it arrives.) In fact, and as I describe in the episode, it's a misnomer that the strongest sperm wins the fight to the egg. Believe it or not, the egg actually chooses the sperm, and she allows her selection to come in.

We've been living from this place of masculine "push" for a long time, and the pendulum is beginning to swing back. By prioritizing and tapping into your own feminine power, you can avoid burnout by choosing what is truly pleasurable to you and allowing life to unfold in the way that is in alignment for you.

In summary, embracing pleasure and stepping into your feminine power can help you manifest your dreams and desires, align to your purpose, and promote greater overall well-being.

Embrace your flaws and live your most authentic life – with Kristina Mand-Lakhiani, author and co-founder of Mindvalley

How do you live your most authentic life? On the journey of self-development and healing, this is a question most of us face.

Particularly for those of us who are also seeking to contribute in a career or business along the way, being the authentic, whole human who we are can feel like a big challenge. But Kristina Mand-Lakhiani is here to help us with this big question, encouraging you to embrace everything that makes you awesome – flaws and all.

Kristina is the co-founder of self-development giant Mindvalley, and has had a unique and very personal behind-the-scenes look at the challenges people face on the road to success.

In her new book, Becoming Flawesome, Kristina encourages self-honesty as a path to true happiness and authenticity, and that starts with embracing every piece and part of yourself. In this conversation, she talks about unshaming the bits of ourselves we've seeked to part ways with, and how facing our "dragons" and meeting them with compassion, is the best way to lead our most fulfilling life.

How to manifest anything you desire with Kelly Pender

How to manifest anything you desire with Kelly Pender

Hey, did you know Jen is hosting a free event this week? Join  Unleash Your Magic

Are you trying to manifest, but can't seem to make progress? Kelly Pender is on the podcast today to share why this is, and what to do about it. We talk about the tethers that are holding you back from getting to the truth of what you desire, and how to unblock yourself from the flow of abundance that is meant for you.

Kelly teaches that, by simply by coming into alignment and stepping into the authentic essence of YOU, you can uncover your purpose and align to your higher self. The problem is the societal standards and conditioning that are keeping you stuck, dimming your light, and keeping you in a cycle of fear-based choices.

This is an honest conversation that doesn't pull any punches, and it's easy to see why she's an aligned guest for this podcast.

You are ready for more. It's time to break free. Kelly and I (and so many others) are here to support you on this journey.

What is a healing journey, anyway?

What is a healing journey, anyway?

What the heck is a healing journey, anyway?

In this episode, Jen speaks openly and honestly about what it means to be on a healing journey. She defines what it means to be on one, the symptoms or signs that you might be on one (or ready for it!), and some suggestions of what your next steps might be to begin healing.

What I want you to know, above all else, is that healing is not linear, and it is absolutely normal. While we may feel shame or judgment as we step into our healing journey, this is also normal.

Our societal and relational norms have been placed on us for a reason - we've been conditioned to behave in certain ways...but these ways might not be in accordance with who you truly are. This causes pain, and eventually, death by a thousand paper cuts.

Find environments that help you feel safe and secure to heal. Seek out trustworthy friends, coaches, and mentors who can support you on the journey. You are not alone, and you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

Getting untethered with EFT tapping – with expert Sherry Lukey

Getting untethered with EFT tapping – with expert Sherry Lukey

Have you ever tried EFT tapping? Have you heard of it? I hadn't, until I was in a coaching program where a psychologist taught us the practice.

As you'll hear in this episode with Sherry Lukey, an international EFT expert,  tapping is a scientifically proven way to calm your stress response, reduce anxiety, improve your performance, and even lessen cravings.

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, and it's an activity anyone can do on themselves. The structure of the process is simple – you tap, with your fingertips, on acupuncture points (called acupoints) on the hands, face. You do this while repeating phrases that help you focus on the emotion or feeling you want to resolve.

It sounds so simple and feels a bit odd to do. However, it can be incredibly effective. I've used it myself to great success when feeling anxiety start to take over. I'm excited for you to hear this episode with Sherry, and to give this "untethered" practice a try!

    About the Untethered Practices Series
Over the next two weeks, I am offering a glimpse into Untethered Practices — some energetic and healing modalities that may be considered “woo-woo” to some.  (And by some, I mean myself, not so long ago.)

The intention with this series is to give you a glimpse into what these practices are,  why people do them, and to help you see if it’s something you may be curious to try!

If there’s a modality you’re curious about, I’m happy to go try it and report back. Send me a message or email! (Links below)

    Getting untethered with: Breathwork

    Getting untethered with: Breathwork

Have you ever tried breathwork? If so, what did you think?

Of all the practices we're discussing in the Untethered Practices series, this is my bread and butter. This is the one that, for me, finally pulled the thread that completely unraveled everything – in the best way possible.

In this episode I'll share my personal description of what breathwork is, what it's done for me, why what it's done for me matters, and what it could possibly do for you.

At the time of posting this episode, I'm exactly two weeks from obtaining my certification as a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator. This has been a six-month journey, and a pretty intensive process. I have dedicated hundreds and hundreds of hours to deeply learning, embodying, practicing, and facilitating breathwork.

In many ways, this process has completely changed me. Most importantly, it's brought me back home to the person who I truly am. This is what I believe the true power of breathwork to be.

I could share 250 episodes about breathwork (and I probably will!), but I'm so excited to share this inaugural episode that takes you along the journey with me.

    Untethering from fear

    Untethering from fear

How do you overcome fear on the path to your dreams?

It's a great question. Fear sure does get in the way, doesn't it? In this episode, I discuss how somatic work (getting back into my body) has massively impacted my ability to move with fear in a way that feels more safe. I include a short exercise that could be supportive for you.

I do want to be clear: For those of us who associate as perfectionists, pleasers, and overachievers, getting back into our bodies can trigger fear. You really need to titrate into somatic practices. You will mentally reject being in your body. It's overwhelming, scary, and can feel "bad." I recommend doing this safely with a coach or therapist who approaches their work in a trauma-informed way. You can begin to do this work very lightly on your own, but please titrate and take it slow.
