How to Pray in Tongues and Build Your Boldest Faith | Ep. 87

How to Pray in Tongues and Build Your Boldest Faith | Ep. 87

Speaking in tongues is a powerful, spiritual form of communication with the Father. It has lead me to self-deliverance, healing, revealed mysteries and revelation of the Kingdom of God, and has built my faith stronger. I share Paul’s desire when he said, “I wish you all spoke with tongues” (1 Corinthians 14:5) My goal in this podcast is for you to unlock your heavenly prayer language so you can share in the blessings it will grant you. The Benefits of Praying in Tongues (2) - Hilary Walker

The Benefits of Praying in Tongues (2) - Hilary Walker
Hilary shares from Isaiah 53:1-5 how Divine Healing was purchased for us on the Cross, confirmed by Matthew 8:5-17, for: “He took our sicknesses and bore our diseases." The risen Christ has poured out the Holy Spirit for us all to receive. The Spirit dwells within the spirit of every believer and wants to flow out through our hearts as rivers of life-giving water (John 7:37-39), bringing us health and healing (Rev 22:1-3, Ezekiel 47:9,12, Romans 8:11). When we pray in tongues (Acts 2:4), we are allowing this River of Life to flow more abundantly through us. This is confirmed by medical studies that show the positive effects on our bodies of extended praying in tongues. Hilary shares the results of these studies to encourage you to be more faithful in using your God-given prayer language.

The Benefits of Praying in Tongues (1) - Hilary Walker
When we pray in tongues, a river of life flows out of our spirit (where the Holy Spirit dwells) through our mouth: “out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). This divine river carries life, healing, supernatural power and gifts. Hilary shares the results of medical studies showing that extended praying in tongues activates areas of our brain which release hormones, resulting in increased immunity from sickness, and health for our minds and bodies.

CONVERSATION | What is Speaking in Tongues? | Featuring Jerry Tallo

What’s the difference between the “tongues” that fell on the early believers during their gathering at Pentecost and the “tongues” that Paul talks about to the church in Corinth. Hopefully you will see that as much as Paul leaves room for the specific gifting of public tongues (and its interpretation!), by and large Paul was interested in “tongues” as a personal prayer language imparted and fostered by the Spirit of God in every believer.

The Power of Speaking in Tongues in Intercession (2) – Hilary Walker

The Power of Speaking in Tongues in Intercession (2) – Hilary Walker
Hilary motivates us to pray in the Spirit by sharing from Scripture and from her and others' experiences the power released through praying in tongues, whereby we build ourselves up spiritually (1Cor 14:4), and allow the Holy Spirit to take hold of us and make intercession through us (Romans 8:26-27).

The Power of Speaking in Tongues in Intercession (1) – Hilary Walker
The Holy Spirit lives within us and wants to help us pray and intercede. As we submit to Him, He will fill us and empower our prayers, giving us the utterance (Acts 2:4). As we yield our tongues to Him and speak His words, we pray God's perfect will into the situation (Romans 8:26-27, 1Cor 14:2-5, 14-18).

Calling all Intercessors (8): New Covenant Prayer - Hilary Walker

Calling all Intercessors (8): New Covenant Prayer - Hilary Walker
Through His Blood, Jesus has brought us into a new and better Covenant with God, which is the basis for our prayer-life. It includes the gift of praying in tongues, whereby the indwelling Holy Spirit helps us to pray God’s perfect will into the earth, by giving us the utterance (Acts 2:4, Rom 8:26-27, 1Cor 14:2).
