    The Preeminent Sacrifice

    The Preeminent Sacrifice
Perhaps one of the most theological rich sections on the Doctrine of Christ. In this text we learn of the true divine nature of Christ. All things were created by Him, and through Him. Christ holds everything we see together. He existed before anything else, so everything that we see submits to Him. He is the standard to which everything else compares. What is His end goal? To make peace, and to reconcile us through His very own blood. What a glorious gospel we have in Jesus! Visit us online at: www.RenewalChurch.net

Colossians 1-4, Philemon | Submission, Slavery, and Christian Living

Colossians 1-4, Philemon | Submission, Slavery, and Christian Living

Are you ready for a transformative journey through the intriguing books of Colossians and Philemon? We take a deep dive into these profound scriptures, challenging common misconceptions and bringing clarity to complex themes from family interactions to slavery. We guarantee that by the end of this exploration, your understanding of Christian living, as envisioned by Paul, will be profoundly deepened.

In our first segment, we wrestle with the subject of submission within Christian families, as Paul's radical teachings challenge traditional norms. From husbands loving their wives to fathers serving their children, we unearth the profound impact of these revolutionary guidelines. The conversation takes an intriguing turn as we delve into the contentious issue of slavery within the church. Drawing out the critical distinction between biblical bond-servanthood and the horrific institution of slavery, we illuminate the biblical call for justice and fairness.

As we navigate the essence of Christian living, we invite you to cultivate gratitude and deepen your faith. We unravel the mystery of Christ, inspiring you to transcend earthly desires and set your mind on heavenly things. Join us in this insightful journey and let these enlightening scriptures serve as a guide to your life. By the end, your understanding of these complex topics will not only be clarified, but you'll be equipped to apply them practically in your day-to-day life.

In Chapter 1, Paul expresses gratitude and offers prayers for the Colossian believers, emphasizing the supremacy of Christ, who is the image of the invisible God and the head of the church.

In Chapter 2, Paul warns against deceptive philosophies and traditions that could lead the Colossians astray from the truth in Christ. He emphasizes their unity in Christ, the completeness found in Him, and the freedom from human regulations.

Chapter 3 focuses on living as new creations in Christ, urging believers to set their minds on heavenly things and to put to death earthly desires such as sexual immorality, impurity, evil desires, greed, anger, and slander. Paul emphasizes putting on virtues like compassion, kindness, humility, forgiveness, and love, highlighting the importance of unity and peace within the Christian community.

Finally, in Chapter 4, Paul encourages the Colossians to continue in prayer, asking for prayer for himself and his fellow workers in spreading the Gospel. He instructs them on how to conduct themselves toward outsiders, urging graciousness and wisdom in their interactions.

Philemon is a personal letter from Paul to Philemon, a Christian slave owner, urging him to receive his runaway slave, Onesimus, back not as a slave but as a beloved brother in Christ. Paul

The Preeminence of Christ in Suffering with Becca M

The Preeminence of Christ in Suffering with Becca M

How can we make Christ preeminent in our lives in the midst of heartbreaking circumstances? Listen in as our dear friend and coworker Becca M shares how God has met her in powerful ways throughout her (just 30-year-old) husband Chris's battle with cancer and then going to heaven in late August of 2022. This episode will not depress you; it will fill you with hope and faith that God will ALWAYS be 100% faithful and enough for you - no matter what happens in your life!

Becca shares honestly about how God taught her to give His Word more weight than doctors' words. She shares about making God's Word her bread and sustenance, learning to take God's promises literally, and wrestling with the Lord when His promises don't seem to be coming to fruition.

Becca shares that we can ask big, seemingly impossible things from God- full of faith and hope- without worrying about the possibility of being crushed with disappointment, b/c God is big enough and loving enough to take care of our disappointment for us too. (This was one of the biggest lessons Becca taught me, that I really want to grow in!)

Becca encourages the listener- no matter how big or how small your current situation is - God WANTS to meet you in it. He loves you so, so much and always gives more of His Presence when we come to Him humbly.

Yes, you will probably cry during this episode. But it is chock-full of Scriptural truth that will fortify your soul.

In this episode, we’ll look at what preeminence means, how to get there, and why this matters to Faith Driven Entrepreneurs looking to impact the world around them.
